The atmosphere is very nice with piano music playing. the view is nice. The staff very friendly. Food is awesome. My husband got the lamb and I got the waygu. The reason I gave it one star down because they try and sell you the 4 course for $125/person, but if you do the math our meal came out cheaper and we ordered off the higher price menu.
The small portions of food were wonderful. The piano playing gave a wonderful atmosphere. At times the piano player also sang, changing the atmosphere. There is a balcony open to hotel guests and island visitors where they can view your dining experience.
Our family goes every year to Mackinaw Island to have some leisure time in a clean, somewhat exclusive environment. The Mission Point Hotel has an excellent fine dining assortment at their Chianti Restaurant. The ambiance, interior and exterior of the Chianti is both inviting and comfortable. Part of the ambiance is the live music from the piano player there. We enjoyed a delicious array of dishes, too numerous in all. As for price, it may be a touch pricey, but it's worth...
