We were able to get a patio table right away, the food came out after a very short wait(maybe 5 minutes), the wait staff was extremely nice and friendly, plus the patio is dog friendly!
I’m counting down the days until I can return to this mostest historic tavern. If you like duck and wontons then you are in luck. The duck wontons with its dipping sauce is something special. I’d argue the most delicious appetizer on the island of Mackinac. Come for the fudge, stay for the wontons.
We arrived with only a half hour before the kitchen closed. They were really busy as they are the only restaurant open on the island before the season starts, and they still got our order in, food out, and cashed out in a decent time considering the crowd. Food was good and bathrooms were clean.
