It's a nooked spot, it feels your in a different environment other the rest of places here. The staff were Great, the food was really Great. Not badly priced also. Can't go wrong with fish and chips! I highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner.

I've been to Mackinaw City many times and have eaten at most of the restaurants in town, so this trip I decided to finally give Scalawags a try. With the line out the door on a Wednesday afternoon, I was expecting one of the best whitefish dinners in northern Michigan.

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype on this visit. The whitefish had a stronger fishy flavor than I expected and could have used more seasoning. The tartar sauce reminded me...

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SERVICE AND SEAFOOD! The fish is fresh and delicious! Two nights in a row for dinner. First night was the 4 piece white fish basket and 2 piece whitefish basket along with the garlic cheese curds. Tonight was the walley basket, fish tacos and the garlic cheese curds.
