“We are not from Matawan, but from Royal Oak, and were driving through. A friend told me about Bird Dog and I am glad they did! A little gem. The food was complex and delicious, and had a great presentation. We sat at the bar to eat and glad we did! You get a front row seat to watching the food being made! Helped us decide what we wanted, although it all looked great! The staff was great as well, it was like a dance to make everything run smoothly and they execute it flawlessly.We will definitely stop back in the next time we are driving through!“

Listen.  I love all Mexican food, but I appreciate a really great Mexican meal.  And I can tell you that Casa Tequila is my new favorite Mexican restaurant.  Ask for grilled jalapeños on the side and the spicy sauce for a truly mouth watering experience.  But what really impressed me here wasn't the food.  It wasn't even the best house lime margarita I've ever had.  It was the wait staff.  From the moment I walked in the door to the folks wishing us a good evening as we left... the staff was amazing.  Not too busy to chat, quick with a smile and full of suggestions should you ask for them.  Loved our waiter, Roman.  He was such a sweetheart.  We will most definitely return, probably yet this weekend!“

“Pups are welcome at this pub, score! This is just a stunning perch overlooking the Meadow Run Dog Park, esp. the pond area, and it’s literal heaven. Often times they have live music and/or food trucks on site, the dogs are beyond well taken care of here, and the staff also is so, so kind to guests. It feels like your personal ‘Cheers’ where everyone knows your name environ, it’s a must see!“

“We went there for the K Wings watch party, and the staff was very helpful. we’re supposed to have reserve table, but it was taken but they helped us find another one and we’re very apologetic. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Smashburger highly recommend.Parking: Plenty of parking“

“Went during Halloween weekend for a wedding. Stumbled upon this place for dinner. Absolutely awesome, giant inflatables outside, inside was decorated to the max with very good quality props. Also have a incredible lounge where you can play provided guitars. Has tons of music memorabilia to check out while you wait.“

“In a former church, this charming brewery/ eatery was a great find on a road trip. Wide selection of beers and ciders. The cherry cider was awesome. We were there on their 9th anniversary and had their award winning Cajun mac and cheese, which definitely lived up to the hype. Our server, Nancy, was lovely, energetic, and welcoming.“

“When visiting our daughter at Western our family stopped at The Hanger for lunch. We were very happy:Food - Our daughter had a burger which was large, I had the fish tacos, my wife had pizza, my son had the mac n cheese brisket, and our other son had a kid’s cheeseburger. We also ordered an appetizer and drinks. Everything tasted good and was hot.Service - Our waitress was attentive and helpful.Atmosphere - Nice vibe and fun atmosphere. There were some TV’s and video game machines too.“

“Came in to grab dinner because we didn't feel like cooking. Perused the menu a bit while the employee at the register patiently waited for us. Decided what we wanted, ordered and sat for about 5mins. Our food came out - hot and ready to go! :) I was a little skeptical, because that seemed a bit too quick, but they weren't very busy. My fiancé and I drove about 30mins from Battle Creek, so getting takeout, we had to drive 30mins back home with the food. And it stayed hot the entire time. Didn't need to heat up after getting home, very pleased. And the food is BOMB!! Their queso has the perfect heat, green sauce is lovely as well. Love the quesadillas. The pulled chicken I got was so flavorful. We bought 2 quesadillas (one small, one large), a bag of chips, a cup of queso and churros for $26. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area.“
