“It's a hole in the wall bar. Which those are the ones I like. The only thing I had an issue with isn't with the staff. There was no real issues by any means. I was just looking forward to having a night of playing pool with my husband and next thing we knew quarters were laid on the table, over and over and over... and over.... and over... when we walked in no one was even using the pool table. It was still a lovely night, and still had a good night. The people just seem pretty competitive here, one guy was trying to be a shark, at least on that night. I only got 1 game with my husband.”

“We held our soccer banquet at the Little Brown Jug, and it was the perfect spot! The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the space worked perfectly for our team and families. You couldn’t ask for a better community atmosphere.”

“I love going to Nocturnal! It's a special treat that I am absolutely willing to drive up to Monroe for. The drinks are tasty, the employees are friendly, and the decor and atmosphere are my favorite. I wish the location was larger, with more seating. It's a bit of a bummer to drive 40 mins and have the seating full with drinks "to go" only, but Nocturnal is still my favorite. Nothing but love. 🖤”

“Biggy Monroe is THE BEST. As a coffee snob, I used to think Starbucks was good. OMG was I wrong! Biggby coffee is better tasting, better prices, and the staff are the best! Violet, Audra, Ava, Aiden, Sam, Kiah (to name a few) are always pleasant, funny and remember our order before I even speak. lol. Plus, the specials they offer can't be beat! Try it once and you'll be hooked. Score 100 out of 100....5 stars out of 5. 😁”

“The food is incredible, but I recently dined there and paid with credit card, which I will never do again. What I was charged with on my bank statement was quite a bit higher. They bring the machine to the table to pay, and I left 0 tip on credit because I like to leave cash. The ending credit card amount was like I left a 20 percent tip on card. I have no receipt, because when they bring the machine to the table it doesn’t spit out one. Lesson learned.”

There's 3 people in line with my husband and no one is there so people start leaving.. so finally they pop put from the back and the girls says they aren't getting "blah blah blah cause I'm not cleaning blah blah blah" and my husband says nevermind and the guy working was like no it's fine I'll make it. I don't get why you are working at and ice cream stand at 630 at night if you don't wanna do your job? she was rude and unprofessional. unsure if it's the new ownership or the people they hire.”

“Monica herself fulfilled an (almost) lifetime dream! Working in polish-dominated Hamtramk, MI, I fell in love with paczki. Moving to Belleville MI, working in Toledo, I needed to find REAL paczki - that pseudo-paczki-junk at Kroger/Meijer is a jelly bismark. Monica makes real paczki. I've gone there from Traverse City since retiring in 2017- on trips to two Monroe fundraisers falling close to Fat Tuesday. The banquets fell 10 days away on either side of Fat Tuesday this year. I called the store, hoping for a pre-or-post Paczki Day special order. THE MONICA, herself, called to get my order. I took a chance to ask if she could do a dozen poppyseed paczki. My Auntie Bessie used to make poppyseed 'shishka', a bohemian version of polish paczki, in the 1950s. I've not had one in 65+ years, after moving from Chicago . Every year, I've wondered if a paczki-maker would be so kind as to fill some with poppyseed. MONICA MADE ME POPPYSEED PACZKI - out of this world!!! THANK YOU MONICA!!”
