“My wife and I voted early and then to the post office in Milan. We were hungry having left the house without breakfast. The wonderful aroma coming from this bakery peaked my interest. We hit krogers and were headed home and pulled in to check it out. They were busy but very friendly and surprisingly fast we ordered a cinnamon roll to share and a Italian sandwich. They had a cute little microwave to heat the cinnamon roll and we enjoyed its gooey goodness while they made our sandwich.
My wife and I are not into coffee, but we could tell their offerings were very popular with those who are. Their display cases were bursting with many lovely offerings. They also have a "pantry" that had alot of specialty food and spice items as well as kitchen nic knacks and cutting boards.
We left satisfied and thinking that our grown kids would love this little place in Milan Michigan.”

The wait time is usually really fast, only being slow during peak busy times (which is totally reasonable and understandable). “First, I'm in no way affiliated with the Milan McDonald's or any of its employees. I realize that the Milan McDonald's, along with many others, has been plagued over the past several years with employee shortages. This has certainly contributed to patron dissatisfaction, especially at certain times of the day. Unfortunately, the employees that do show up for work frequently receive undeserved criticism and even become the targets of insults and profanity. Although no employee of any company is perfect, those that are responsible enough to show up for work and offer a service should at least receive some credit for doing so. However, despite employee shortages, I believe the McDonald's and Milan Michigan is above average in many respects. This is the only restaurant that I patronize over 250 mornings a year on average. And there's a reason for that. Although the food may not always be as fresh as desired, the employees are always willing to exchange or somehow compensate the patron when asked to do so. For " regulars" like me, the staff typically goes the second mile to make sure that my order is correct and fresh. Sometimes they throw in a special perk, such as a free soft drink if the wait is abnormally long. Or allowing me to have free syrup even when my order did not include hot cakes. Although it's impossible to list all of the morning managers and employees by name, I extend well-deserved kudos to Casey, Amanda, Lisa, Shannon, Cheyenne, Kayla, Katie, Faith, Damien, Allison, Lily, Lindsey, Vicky, Ryan and others. All of these (and others) deserve far more credit than they get. Which is why I plan to patronize the Milan McDonald's for years to come. May God bless every employee at the Milan McDonald's.”

“Our hostess Nancy had the nicest smile as she seated us! She introduced our waitress Ray Lynn. Ray Lynn listened to our questions about the menu and helped us settle on a shared Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad (delicious) and our entrees the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp (delicious)! “The food is incredible, but I recently dined there and paid with credit card, which I will never do again. What I was charged with on my bank statement was quite a bit higher. They bring the machine to the table to pay, and I left 0 tip on credit because I like to leave cash. The ending credit card amount was like I left a 20 percent tip on card. I have no receipt, because when they bring the machine to the table it doesn’t spit out one. Lesson learned.”
