We stopped into Breadsmith while visiting family from out of town. We grabbed some pastries and banana bread for our family. We had a wonderful experience talking with the owner. As we were leaving after checking out he grabbed one of his most popular bread loaves (Michigan Cherry Walnut) and gave to us so we could try it. It was so incredibly nice. Will definitely be back when we return to Michigan!

A real gem. A great local bakery with solid regular items (baguette, italian and french loaves, ryes) and special items around holidays. All are well (and locally) made. In addition, the owners/proprietors are friendly and knowledgeable.
