“Best pizza I’ve had in the Ionia area so far. Next time I’ll ask for more sauce , but I know I am not typical in that. I also love eggplant on pizza, so I’m always looking for someplace to do that. Pizza also passed the test of being good the next day. The proprietor is friendly and the cheese is real. Old town photos on the walls are a plus.”

“The best thing about this place is the service. Our waitress was great! The place itself is a home town local place. So could use updating but it's clean and warm. The food it's hit or miss. I got the dinner buffet and some things were great like the chicken. Others were not. Best part about the food as it's atleast home in house it doesn't taste like freezer food.”

One of the best breakfast meals I have had in quite a while. 10:30 AM on a Sunday and they were still very busy. I had to wait about five minutes to be seated Nothing fancy about this restaurant. “A WONDERFUL breakfast of Texas Hash. I'd asked one of the guys (they're twins) if they offered a Cinnamon Roll Pancake. Whoops! That's at the "other place." But...here he came with a medium size Cinnamon Chip Pancake with a Cream Cheese topping swirled on it. It was the BEST!!! I think it was the cinnamon CHIPS that made the difference. The other place didn't use chips. Thank you Bluewater people. You went over and above!!”

“We are from Vegas and stopped by here for some take out pizza while visiting relatives in Portland. Ordered a Breakfast and a Pickle Pizza.Not something we would usually order, but we have never had either so we went for it. Glad we did. They were great. Everyone enjoyed them..!!!They also had fresh donuts and other desserts, and they all looked so good.The store is going thru a major construction project, but the service and atmosphere was still 5 star.The owner Josh was there when we stopped by and we chatted with him while we waited for our pizzas. Nice guy with a great vision for the future of an expanded and improved Portland Party Store.Can't wait to stop by the next time we are in town visiting our relatives.”

The owner is amazing, his staff is amazing, the food is way way over the top (amazing) compared to other food places especially other bars, the people running the karaoke on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are amazing and have great current hits. About the only thing that I can say bad is the bathroom hot water is very hot. LolParking: Parking is street parking, and there is a lot of it.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly till 9, then it's adult fun till closing.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get in the side entrance with a wheel chair.”

Mmmmm.)My second favorite food is the deep fried green beans which are served with a side of siracha ranch.I've tried most everything on the menu, as long as you know what you like (for me, no gorgonzola), everything is very good.Unfortunately, I'm not a craft beer person (sorry, Pete) so I cannot attest to how good those are. I stick with Focus which is a very basic beer. The wines I've tasted have all been excellent.As I referenced above, you can buy a mug (I'm not sure what the current price is, $150 ish?) and the pour is the same price as a pint, but the mugs holds about 3-5 ounces more. More beer, same price, I like it! Your mug will then reside at SSB for future use.There's ample parking on both sides of the building.The building is easily wheelchair accessible.There is also a beautiful patio at the front of the building, which is nice during the warmer months.This is not a place I would take small children, yet there usually is at least one small child there, so.... ?‍♀️ It's not a bad environment, just not what I would think of if taking kids out.Please proceed to the bar to order and get your drinks. The food will be brought out to your table when it's ready. Enjoy!”

“A cute little ice cream shop in a cute little town! Lots of different and unique ice cream options. I got a PB&J sundae and added cheesecake pieces. Lots of toppings to add to the dessert of your choice! There was a line to the door when we went, but service was quick and efficient.”

“Late lunch. Ordered fish and chips with extra tartar sauce and a side salad with thousand island dressing. The side salad was delicious! It had a good greens to toppings ratio, and plenty of shredded cheese. The french fries were the best I have had in a long time! They were slightly crunchy outside and warm and soft on the inside and seasoned perfectly. The fish just added to the experience perfectly! Its crunchy coating was everything I wanted. It held up quite well to the lemon wedge drizzles that I squeezed on top.And that's just the food! The waitress was kind in her communication and attentive to my needs. She was what all wait staff should strive to be!The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I would most definitely dine here again. I hope I get to again soon!”

The staff is always helpful and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I've eaten at a number of Chinese restaurants here in Michigan, and the New China Buffet in Portland is my favorite, by far!”
