“Long time patron of the Terrace Room here. I’m a local and have loved the evolution this space has travelled from years ago. Recently ate here again with my husband (use to eat here 1x a month, now less frequent) and was a bit disappointed. The ambience and setting is stellar and basically the best in the region. First point, the price point is hard not to notice. That being said, I get it. It is a tough business and margins are slim. However, this brings me to the second point: If you need to price things where it costs literally hundreds of dollars for a meal for two, the service must be impeccable. Here is where service detracted from the experience. Our server was very nice and well meaning. However, he recited the day’s specials highlighting what he DIDN’T know about each item. For example “I haven’t seen it” or “Not sure what peppers the chef is using in that entree”….etc. This detracted from the experience. Also, steak didn’t come with a steak knife; had to ask for one. Again, not a big deal, but when you’re already feeling the price pinch, you want everything to be stellar to make up for that. Additionally, they use to serve lovely warm bread with olive oil - that is gone! We really missed that special touch. I’d also like them to add to the wine list so there is more than Italian wines. Finally, they serve complimentary small cookies for an after dinner sweet (if you don’t order dessert). Of course, this is lovely. However, they have been serving the same, literally, after dinner cookies for 15 years. Would like to see some variety. How about biscotti, or some chocolates? It is hard not feel like you are paying for more (which is literally true and not their fault) and receiving less - which is also true (no bread!). I love this place, but a bit disappointed and less likely to frequent as often.“

“Tried here after being denied service at Nowhere in Rolling Prairie due to having my baby along for Father’s Day. So happy we did. This is a family friendly establishment with a very nice staff, excellent food, and a nice atmosphere. Will absolutely recommend and return.“
