“The food here is great. This was our 1st time here. We were here all the way from Wisconsin for an event and i asked who got the best soul food in town and was told to stop by Cornbread. Amazing food, and service, and the place was clean. The Staff went above the call of duty. Ms. Donya if you see this, you are a JEWEL! This lady was right on time with everything. We visited the restaurant on Friday upon arrival to Michigan and was the first customers on Sunday 11:30AM as we were leaving from Michigan to return home. Go here, you will not be disappointed. The PRICE IS RIGHT.....and the Staff is BRIGHT!“

The turkey meatloaf boasted a delightful balance of savory flavors with a hint of sweetness that left me wanting more. The greens were fresh and vibrant, and the rice and peas were a hearty, comforting side dish. The presentation was as impressive as the taste—my dish was thoughtfully plated, reflecting the care and attention put into every detail. Special kudos to owner Anthony, whose warm welcome and professional demeanor made the dining experience even more enjoyable. His passion for quality and hospitality truly shone through. “The place meeds better cooling for the workers. It was hot in there. I say great work by them considering the temperature. They deserve raises. The cashier and cooks are fast and the food was great. Best locations are in Royal Oak. 11 mile and the one on woodward. Both great. Not Southfield.“

“I had a lovely experience placing a walk in order here. Chicken, fish, ribs, and potatoes and mushrooms.
It took a little less than ten minutes from when I placed the order to be out the door, which was great, and the cashier was extremely personable and had a warm attitude.
The single minor complaint I would levy is the potatoes and mushrooms felt undersalted, but I like a lot of salt. That may just be me.“

“Came here before a post season tigers game. Got our food and drinks fast for the amount of customers inside. The chicken tenders where seasoned very well and the crinkle cut fries were the best crinkle cut fries ive ever had. Definitely recommend.“

“I first experienced Mookies at an event they watered that I attended, thermodynamics was great. I was able to get to restaurant and taste more of what they offer, and they are consistent, the food was hot, fresh, and very good! Smothered pork chops.....YUM. I recommend this if you want a home cooked taste without the work, try Mookies.“
