Grab some pizza or a salad from Portage Point Pizzeria and Cafe' with an ice-cold beer from Lahey's Pub and relax on the porch. Beautiful Portage Lake makes for an amazing view! It doesn't get any better than that.”

“If you find yourself near Onekama, Michigan, do yourself a favor ad make a stop at the Blue Slipper Tavern. This local gem offers great food, excellent service, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. A seasonal highlight right now is the deep-fried asparagus - crispy, flavorful, excellent dip and absolutely worth the trip while it's still in season. Don't wait too long - it's a limited time treat that truly stands out. Service was fast and friendly with staff who clearly care about creating a good experience for their guests. Even better, the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. The tavern is launching an outdoor venue with live music which promises to make this spot even more of a local favorite as summer rolls in. This was my second visit, but it definitely won't be my last. Highly recommend stopping by.”

“Very good place to eat the staff is very good food is good and you will get the biggest cup of coffee around you have to hold the cup with 2 hands. Jenny the owner is the best around always joking around just a fun place to eat. We were on our way home from celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and went there to have breakfast on 10/8/23 and Jenny gave us our breakfast for free. We were surprised whe we got the bill and it said o owed. A great lady and a great place to eat. We make it there about 3 times a year and would go more if we lived close.”

“Cozy little diner with a view of Bear Lake. We felt as if we were family here -even though it was our first time eating here. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They serve breakfast and lunch here. The menu is large with a good selection of items. Our food was brought out hot and the portions were generous. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and delicious. Kid friendly.”

“The perfect spot to sit, slow down, and have great conversations. The lattes are excellent you can tell the beans are freshly roasted. This is not fast food but slow food with love could hang in the little patio all day. Can’t wait to see what they do next”

“We really like eating there. We drive there from Ludington. The food has always been good. Except we have noticed last summer the broasted chicken has changed. It's smaller pieces. Maybe they can't help that but, not sure why but the chicken has been way over cooked. The meat is really dry. We hope this gets figured out. It's happened several times now. We'll give it another try. It used to be when you cut into the chicken juice would run out. Man, that was so good. Probably over cooking it because the pieces are smaller... ??”

“Sugar Delites is a great place to get all your sugarcraft supplies. Jen and Jason takes pride on the high quality products they have. I have been a loyal customer for several years now. The products I bought from them especially their cutters and veiners have always been superior as compared to any in the market. Jen is also such a sweet and great person to talk to and would always do the right thing for her clients. Their customer service is next to none. ❤️”

“My wife and I came down from Suttons Bay for a quick getaway and stopped in for a bite and some drinks. The bartender was super friendly and we felt like we were back home in our little hometown bar. The food was great. Drinks were perfect. We met the owner and he is a great guy. Definitely recommend if a small local bar is your thing.”

“Delicious treats. The staff are very quick and efficient. Some little mistakes here and there but nothing that ruins it and if its super noticeable then they will fix it no problem. It is more expensive than other dairy queens but its also in a small town so what do you expect! They also do not utilize the dq app so online ordering or those deals are not available. I've specially ordered a dq cake and they hit it out of the park - it was incredible and I will definitely be ordering it again and again. My regular order is a banana split with only peanut butter sauce and strawberry topping (its amazing) and a peanut butter cookie dough blizzard. Both are altered from the original menu so that's were mistakes can happen but nothing huge.”

“I've got a slight obsession with subway. I utilize the mobile app and it is super easy and simple plus they accept the coupon codes that way as well. I have altered my usual sub over the years but not by much. Rose is the best and we always say that if we see her there, then the food is going to be BOMB!! I've only had a few mess ups but they have a high turnover rate so it is what it is. When we report an issue they are quick to address it and get it settled.”

“Excellent smash burgers, cooked to perfection. I had the Impossible Burger swap and it was grilled so well-great char! Could not even tell the burgers were plant-based. Mom loved her beef burger, as well. Fries were also super good! Not sure what the Outsider sauce is but it was tasty! Onion rings were delicious-crispy outside, juicy, plump onions inside.

Highly recommend for bigger small groups. Easy walk-up ordering, a bar to sit for drinks, and an outside area to take food out.”
