“Friday night! Time to dine out, right. We were in the mood for Italian and specifically, pasta! My girlfriend and I hadn't visited Palazzo Di Bocce and decided to try it out. After checking the restaurant website I called to make 5pm reservations as recommended. We drove over a little before 5pm and arrived in good time. The funny part is that there were only two other people there and the place is huge! None-the-less, we checked in and were seated immediately. We didn't wait five minutes before Cheyenne, our server, took our drink order and provided menus and wine selection information. She was very helpful throughout the evening. We ordered an appetizer of Bruschetta which was tasty and a little different from the same dish at other restaurants. My girlfriend ordered the Carbonara with a house salad and I ordered the Chicken Marsala with a helping of the Mushroom Soup. When I asked Cheyenne about the soup she confidently told me it would be the best I've ever eaten and she was right! It was delicious! I questioned her regarding wine choices, as I'm not very familiar with Italian wines. She suggested a Sangiovese that was pretty good and at a fair price. As we ate, a gentleman (server) would politely remove unwanted dishes from the table. Both meals were very good - although I think the mashed potatoes were out of a box. Frankly, I thought the Carbonara was much better than my Marsala! Following our meal we enjoyed desert and coffee - also very good. The cannoli I had was the best I'd had in years. (The shells are made fresh and not filled until ordered. So, rather than the typical soggy shell, it was nice and crunchy and of exceptional flavor!) The venue began filling up as we enjoyed our meal and the surroundings are beautiful. Service was excellent. We will return I'm sure and include a round of Bocce!“

“Never been here before, just passing through town working at the metro park picked up a "Small" BBQ Chicken Cajun. (The thing is huge and satisfying, able to share it and STILL had me wish I got a bigger pie.)Crust was amazingly fresh flakey, crispy and fluffy at the same time and just an amazing tasting bread. Couldn't let my coworkers say no to a piece after my first slice. They felt the same and this review was written with two brains, not just one. Pie was cooked great, chicken was awesome, Cajun added just the right spice to the BBQ sauce. Portnoy should come try it.Hopefully be back soon to get a bigger size to take home for dinner.“

“I only have "ate in" during lunch time here. I love the freshness of the salad & I am currently stuck on an 8" Italian Sub. Fresh, crisp baked bread & enjoy the dressing & size of the sub. “Okay went for the first time for taco tuesday. Tacos were excellent. Service is always great. It's just a little noisy but that's in the bar. We haven't been able to go into the restaurant side although we will try that next time.“

“Prohibition probably has the best Detroit style pizza I’ve ever had. I live right down the street and we probably get pizza there almost once a week.Their online ordering service is occasionally wonky, but generally okI don’t really care for the atmosphere at Johnny blacks- it’s just has a generic sports bar vibe. “Beef carpaccio was fantastic. However, I would say it was overdressed with lemon, which overpowered the beef flavor (and I LOVE lemon.) On the other hand, I very much appreciated the amount of fresh arugula that came with the dish. I feel like the table side caesar salad for 2 was not worth the hype. It was also overdressed, and the lettuce did not seem very fresh (which was completely opposite the arugula served with the carpaccio.) We ordered the Strozzapretti Norcina for our entree and it was fantastic. Otherwise, we were greeted immediately by a hostess when we arrived and our table was ready at the time of our reservation. Unfortunately, we did arrive 15 minutes early for our reservation and attempted to get a cocktail at the bar while we waited for our table and the bar staff was so busy/overwhelmed that no one greeted us, let along took a drink order from us before the hostess came to seat us at our table. Overall, the place seems romantic, but is so loud it detracts from its romantic ambience. No one and nothing is perfect. I will definitely give it a second shot.“

“First time I had ever had Papa Romanos pizza. We got the deep-dish spicy Italian and was really good. All the toppings were fresh and delicious. However, I don't really think the term spicy belongs in the title. Want very spicy. Delicious, not spicy. I ended up putting hot pepper flakes on for the heat. Definitely will get pizza from them again though!“

With little (intentionally) broken pillars surrounding the dining area to look like an old subsection of Rome, it was all around a neat experience at a very reasonable price.“

“I’m very picky about my Italian food. There’s only a few places I would go to and this is one of them. First time this past weekend and you can tell it’s made right. Can’t wait to go back. I liked that it was loud, but you could still have a conversation. When we were leaving there was a party with music on etc… I swear we didn’t even hear them lol. “Had a great meal and sweet waitress. It was very busy and they could have used more staff. Drinks took quite awhile to get from the bar. We could tell the waitress was a bit frustrated. Management should beef up the schedule on a Friday evening.“

“We have gone to G’s multiple times for large family gatherings and honestly this is the best location for big groups. We just had my daughter’s birthday party over there and had the pleasure to have Sam as a waiter. I have never in my life had better service than I did with Sam, what an absolute gem! He was so efficient and attentive to our large, busy group that I hope we get him every time that we go in. Food was fast, drinks were constantly filled and when we needed to cut the cake, Sam made sure that we had everything we needed including a serving spatula and a knife. What a great experience and a way to keep me as a customer for life.“
