“Aubrey was our server and did a fine job at lunch today. The cook even came out to say hi because I ordered my double burger rare. It was just right, despite his concern that he does not cook rare ones very often. Fries were hot and tasty. Overall it was a very good lunch and I would not hesitate to go again. Thanks!”

“Great little find just a drive off the freeway. Driving across the state and decided to pass the array of fast food at exit 77 and see what the town had. Don Jose is right on the river, with river views. Service was quick and food came out fast. We were in and out in 30 minutes. Grear portions too, left full.”

“We stopped in while passing through town and we are so glad we did. The beer selection had something for everyone! We shared a flight and each beer was better than the last. The staff was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the brewery itself was so laid back and had such a cool vibe. We ended up ordering a snack which was also amazing. “My daughter and I was out thrifting Monday looking for some place to kill a few minutes and stumbled onto the Chocolate Moose. Oh my, what a delightful surprise. We listened ass. The owner told us how her son had made the ice cream since he's been 12 years old for the last 7 years. We enjoyed a delicious bowl of their Maple walnut flavor creamy with just the right touch of flavor. The menu and prices were amazing. What are quaint little shop tucked in the heart of a small town, well worth the drive.”

“We had lunch at Olivera's today: it was great! Our server was very timely and pleasant, and the food was delicious. I had the bacon burger, rare (it was just right!), without the bun and with a house salad. I considered a double burger but was glad I did not...it would have been too much! The burger was seasoned as good as any I have ever had. My wife enjoyed her boneless wings, and the artichoke appetizer dip was excellent: hot, cheesy and creamy with nice pieces of artichoke. “It's a great family-friendly place when parents can bring their little kids. Older kids and teenagers have fun hanging out there too! And the church is just a quarter mile down the street -- take the family to church and catch an ice cream afterwards.”

“A very friendly bar that we have loved to go to for probably the last 10 12 years. The owner is a great gal and the clientele are always friendly. Schafers always feels like at at home bar. We have no problem driving from Portland Westphalia to have a cold beer or a drink it's certainly worth it. I have met so many wonderful people here over the years. We do not mind that they don't have food because we always run down to Diana's and get subs and Schafer's doesn't care if you eat them there.”

Not over-the-top exaggerated service - but creating genuine interactions with our guests by speaking to them as if they are just a person instead of the next task in line. It’s more nuanced than it sounds, and also not common.. but most things that leave an impact aren’t. Maybe its rarity is what makes it so special.

Tyler provided a level of customer service that any customer-facing business should be thrilled to have in the house. I’ve heard of a sandwich artist.. But a sandwich friend? In this economy?

I hadn’t eaten all day! I was inundated with meetings at work, so I had employed a most effective meal replacement plan for my lunch break: A nap.

So when we rolled in at 7:00 PM eastern standard time, I had only one thought: I need to eat. And by the time I left, and before I had eaten, I still had only one thought. A different thought.
