Their portions are quite generous, and you have several options for sauces and toppings. I order the Beef Shawarma, and at $8, I get two delicious meals for the price of one! (Admittedly, as a Senior, I have a small appetite.) Staff is always friendly, and they even put my "sauce on the side", so it still tastes fresh for my leftovers. Kubba House is a true hidden gem for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. While there are a few seats inside, it doesn’t really have the vibe of a dine-in restaurant — more of a casual spot — so I opted for carry-out.

The owner was incredibly thoughtful, packing everything carefully with great attention to detail. I ordered the Combo for Two, which was very generous in portion — easily enough for two hungry people.

It came with two types of soup (not sure of the names), one bean-based and the other a potato soup. Both were delicious, but I personally preferred the potato one. I also added a small side of hummus, which was smooth and flavorful.

The dinner felt like a perfect sampler — a great way to try a bit of everything. The chicken cream chop was crispy on the outside and incredibly tender inside. The beef shawarma was slightly dry, but still good. The beef kafta was the standout: super juicy with that fresh-off-the-grill flavor that just draws you in.

Wrap everything in the warm pita bread, take a bite, and you’re instantly hit with the rich, aromatic taste of the Middle East. On top of all that, the owner was friendly and welcoming.

“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.“

Update: after about 10 visits here I can say a few things real quick. I think the staff needs a lot more room behind the counter they dance around each other trying to provide the best and quickest service possible.

Also, the space needs some sound insulation, the staff has a really hard time hearing us. A few small modifications can make a huge quality of life difference for these hard workers who serve delicious healthy food.“
