“This is my favorite restaurant and I’m so happy it’s still here. It’s literally older than I am by two years. I feel so horrible that construction is hurting their business, but everybody should definitely go because it’s amazing and the prices are unbeatable and the staff is incredible!“

“This was our favorite Mediterranean restaurant before they moved to the grocery store. The staff are always so friendly and we continue to choose them over all other restaurants in the area. My go to is the Mediterranean chicken stir fry with rice! Try it, you won’t be disappointed:)“

“Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.“

“This has to be one of the best and most authentic Iraqi and Middle Eastern spots in Sterling Heights. The place has a cozy, quiet atmosphere with a small dining area that gives off a nostalgic Iraqi vibe.

Even though we arrived close to closing time, the staff member there provided outstanding hospitality and customer service. The kebabs are a must-try—the flavor is absolutely incredible 🔥

For the quality and portion size, the pricing is very fair (around $15-$20 per person). I’ll definitely be coming back again, and next time with more friends!“

We heard mix reviews from our friends and family but honestly we didn't taste anything better than this place in michigan. For the buffet they had various options to choose from and the price was really affordable. We tried the best zilabi on town. My picky eater son finished everything which means it's really good. “I walked in and had a soujuk sub, chicken sub, and quesadilla. The food was really good and was made fresh, I was greeted at the door with smiles, the place was very clean and best of all the price of all of this was only 25 dollars. I was very amazed it was this good of a price because we don’t see that anymore nowadays. The lunch specials don't cost much more than a fast food combination meal. The staff is courteous and friendly. “Not only is the food amazing, but the service here is unparalleled. Through a mistake of my own, my order was actually not placed when I thought it was. Even after figuring out it was my fault the wonderful staff here rushed my order through very fast, and were apologizing to me even though it was my fault. That’s not the type of service you get just anywhere. And the food? The Chicken Mandi was literally “fall off the bone” tender. The rice was cooked to perfection and you can tell their sauces are made fresh and in house. All of this for the most reasonably priced middle eastern food around. The food served to us was better than any of those. Do yourself I favor and stop in at Arbeel Kabab for the best Kabab in town.“

Greeted by the most lovely staff, I was seated in very comfortable chairs, surrounded by the most awe-inspiring Yemeni art pieces. Beautiful Yemeni outfits and jambiyas adorn the walls with decadence and flair that bring one’s presence to the motherland of the Middle East. Mashallah I felt like I had a small glimpse into heaven, joyful energy with families all around just enjoying the evening to the fullest. I had the Lamb Haneeth which really filled my taste buds with tantalizing flavors one can only describe as truly satisfying, invigorating, captivating, breathtaking, and utterly wonderful. To think there was an entire menu yet undiscovered I come to realize this was only the beginning of my adventures towards absolute joyfulness, happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment through exploring the decadence of Middle Eastern cuisine. “Tarboush Bakery has some of the best pizza, meat pies, and Sojouk cheese pies around. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and baked perfectly. The dough is soft with the perfect crisp, and the ingredients taste high quality. The meat pies are seasoned so well, and the cheese pies are rich and delicious. The staff are friendly, fast, and make you feel welcome every time you visit. If you’re looking for authentic and tasty bakery food, Tarboush Bakery is definitely worth trying!“
