“After 30 years of testing out all the middle eastern spots, this is the one. Favorite highlights, best in the metro Detroit area: the lentil soup, the smoky baba ghanoush, fresh hummus, roasted cauliflower tahini app or wrap, fresh oven baked bread, mango juice are just my highlights.. vegan friendly + my meat eater friends lose their minds here too, it’s the place I pick to show off our exceptional Arab cuisine to out of town friends. A staple in our rotation of carry-out or occasionally eating in for an even fresher meal, and they’re always friendly. Shout out La Marra!“
“They give you a lot of food for the price. It tastes wonderful! I highly recommend the grape leaves. The service is currently take out only. But they allow you to sit. They kindly brought out our apps first which was thoughtful. Then our entree. It was very hot and fresh! The women's bathroom looked like it needed to be cleaned badly. The lid on the far stall was so dirty and the walls and floor boards need a scrubbing.“
“Sahara really made my day! After a long tiring few days I just wanted something good to eat. I ordered a deboned chicken and got way more than I expected. First the meal itself was delicious. But I didn't expect the bowl of soup and the Pickled cabbage salad that came with it.“
“We came to Ferndale for some bagels, but while parking we smelt the amazing smells of Indian cuisine. We instantly changed our minds and l’m so happy we did. The service was immaculate and the food was spectacular. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated. I recommend the lamb tikka masala & garlic naan! So scrumptious!“
“First visit to this establishment during my visit to Michigan. Middle Eastern food Isa must when visiting. We decided to have lunch and this restaurant wasn't too far from the house. We had a wonderful meal and I couldn't say enough good things about this place. The food was tasty and service was great and friendly. Please check this place out and support local businesses.“
“Delightful service, delicious food, and vegetarian friendly. Ali takes so much pride in being welcoming and making sure the meal is the star of the experience. Don't leave without trying the lentil soup, the falafel, and the teaVegetarian options: The staff gave information about vegetarian options during service“
“Super impressed with Kabob Royale. I had a quick lunch here with my mom. We both got a beef shawarma wrap and cup of lentil soup. Both items were extremely tasty, the beef was tender and flavorful, prices were incredibly fair, and service was fast. Wish I had remembered to take a pic! Would be my go-to lunch spot if I lived in town.“
“1st time experience! I got invited with coworkers for lunch. I got the shush kabob, lentil soup, and cajin fries. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. Went back for dinner the same day and got the kufta and chicken shrwarma and it was packed with flavor. Sara the host was welcoming, inviting, and kind. The hospitality was like a family oriented vibe. And Chef Hassan is the heart of the kitchen; cooked the food flawlessly. The staff made sure you were satisfied before you left. Definitely going there again! To be open for 25 years shows their loyalty and dedication for their customers. Food was fresh, delicious, and the price was affordable can't beat it.“
“So i had poutine back in Montreal, but their poutine is just so delicious. On top of that, what makes it worth is the variety of sauces they offer, halal meat, and friendly conversation. Loved the food, the taste, the service. Looking forward to improvements in the ambiance “
“This was our favorite Mediterranean restaurant before they moved to the grocery store. The staff are always so friendly and we continue to choose them over all other restaurants in the area. My go to is the Mediterranean chicken stir fry with rice! Try it, you won’t be disappointed:)“
