“This was our favorite Mediterranean restaurant before they moved to the grocery store. The staff are always so friendly and we continue to choose them over all other restaurants in the area. My go to is the Mediterranean chicken stir fry with rice! Try it, you won’t be disappointed:)“

“The food is very good and fresh. I've not had everything yet, but I'm working on it. I love falafel and usually make it myself. It's good to be able to go somewhere to get it when I don't feel like making it. The only issue I have with the bowls is that the onion cuts are inconsistent. It might seem insignificant, but it really does affect how the whole dish tastes. One bite may have a nice small - medium diced piece of onion and the next night have a huge 4inch piece. That burn of a large piece of raw onion is unpleasant, at least for me. I like onions, but may have to opt to delete them from my bowls and maybe add my own.

The other thing that could use improvement is their pick up window. Each time I've visited, there is a long line of people waiting for their orders. When I approached the pick up counter today, there were about 8 people ahead of me waiting, order was sitting on the counter with approximately 6-7 other completed orders. I felt kinda bad going ahead of everyone else, but I had received a text that my online order was ready. I had ordered from work. Though it looked as if I was cutting in line, I wasn't, and our didn't make sense for me to wait behind the 8 people in front of me who were still waiting and let my food get cold.

I pray that this process is more streamlined soon. I give them grace because they're new and may not have anticipated the demand, but a larger pick up area will help them and their customers.“

“Visited from Toronto, Ontario and this place did not disappoint. Albaik Grill serves flavorful, authentic Middle Eastern food with huge portions. The mixed grill platter was delicious — juicy chicken, crispy falafel, fresh pita, and amazing hummus and garlic sauce.

“New menu was amazing. We had the potatoes, the scallops, burrata, and mushroom with shiitake dish. Burrata was hands down my favorite, thing. Perfect combination!! Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere inside, I personally love plants and that’s the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!“

“At a recent family birthday celebration, I needed appetizers at the last minute. I went to the right people for help! It was no problem for Kal and Ann! They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. Everyone complimented the delicious food Kal and Ann prepared. If you haven’t tried KAL’s Lunch Bowl, located in the Royal Oak Farmers Market yet, I recommend it. You won’t be a “just another customer” ~~ You’ll be a FRIEND!“

“The atmosphere is really nice! I came in with a group of 15 and the server we had was super friendly and accommodating. The food came out quickly as well. I had the broccoli soup and fries for an appetizer and both were amazing!! They have a delicious sauce that comes with the fries as well. For dinner our group purchased a platter and even for 15 of us it was ALOT of food and we had so many leftovers. At the end, the servers were so kind and patient and took photos of our group.“

“I had a large order scheduled, and I could tell when I went in that they were slammed with customers. The manager was hyping his employees up and telling them they were rockstars for handling the pressure. My food was just a few minutes late, but I could tell they were triple checking my order to make sure I got everything. In a stressful moment like that, you could expect the order to be messed up, but they wanted to make sure that didn’t happen. They were very apologetic of the slight delay, which was unnecessary but appreciated. I was impressed with the teamwork and the manager’s kindness to me and his employees. We also ordered the kids grilled chicken and fries meal and the chicken is A1 delicious soft and seasoned perfect... All of their food is very authentic and delicious with great portion sizes. “This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. The food was absolutely excellent from start to finish — the carrots and sweet potatoes were especially memorable (seriously, don’t skip them!). Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor.

The staff is just as wonderful as the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you can, try to get a table by the kitchen. It adds such a fun, energetic vibe to the experience. And if you get a chance, say “hi” to Bella!

I ordered the mixed grill combo and it was outstanding — two perfectly cooked chicken kebabs, flavorful chicken kofta, delicious rice, warm pita bread, fresh garlic sauce, hummus, and crisp, fresh veggies. Every bite was satisfying and clearly made with care.

What really keeps me coming back, though, is the consistency. I’ve been coming here for six years, and the food and service are always phenomenal. It’s rare to find a place that delivers great quality every single time, and Mike’s Grill does exactly that.
