“This has to be one of the best and most authentic Iraqi and Middle Eastern spots in Sterling Heights. The place has a cozy, quiet atmosphere with a small dining area that gives off a nostalgic Iraqi vibe.
Even though we arrived close to closing time, the staff member there provided outstanding hospitality and customer service. The kebabs are a must-try—the flavor is absolutely incredible 🔥
For the quality and portion size, the pricing is very fair (around $15-$20 per person). I’ll definitely be coming back again, and next time with more friends!“

“My family orders from Zara often and it never disappoints! We loved it so much we decided to do a large catering order for the school. Zara was incredibly easy to work with, customized to fit our wants, needs, and budget, and the food was amazing. It was a huge hit for the teachers, they all loved it, hardly any leftovers! Highly reccomend for quick lunches, family platters, and now I know even their catering is outstanding! Thank you Zara!“

“I have been a loyal customer of Grape Leaves for many years. . First, the food is great and very healthy. It is also reasonably priced. The lunch specials don't cost much more than a fast food combination meal. The staff is courteous and friendly. I have never had a bad experience and would recommend Grape Leaves to anybody looking for healthy Mediterranean food on Northwestern Highway.“

“I'm on a fixed income, so "fast food" is only an occasional treat for me. I found out about Shawarma Spot through a friend, and it has become my favorite little take-out restaurant. Their portions are quite generous, and you have several options for sauces and toppings. I order the Beef Shawarma, and at $8, I get two delicious meals for the price of one! (Admittedly, as a Senior, I have a small appetite.) Staff is always friendly, and they even put my "sauce on the side", so it still tastes fresh for my leftovers. I've frequently seen work crews there ordering Shawarma's multiple chicken wing deals. Give them a try!“

I have known Omar for at least a decade and he has a high standard for the chicken he makes.
