Friendly staff, fun bar.
We were staying at a campground in Oxford and I did a search for dive bars and found this one about an hour away. We were greeted by the bartender Rhonda (Big Bird) who is very friendly and knows how to pour a good drink. Prices are great ($3 for well drinks). The bar has a lot of history and we got to meet the son of one of the original owners.
I love dive bars and this place was great. Old crowd that likes to chat, yeah that's my style. Cheap cold beer, love that too.
The bartender didn't really pay attention to anyone. I ranked service poor because of that. It wasn't just me. I left after 2, I went somewhere else. I didn't have any food, not sure if they serve any. So, I can't really rate food. Different bartender and maybe this place would grow on me. Wasn't a bad place. I'm just use to attentive bartenders.
