Grew up (well spent my younger years and loads of time now in the U.P.) and grandma and relatives made pasty's. Always so filling and delicious, can't beat a homemade pasty. Sadly those wonderful people have passed away. :( Our family has tried many different pasty's from different locations around the U.P. but must say, the Pasty Oven makes the best!!! Fresh potatoes, onion, meat and rutabaga in a light, thin flaky crust make this pasty taste "homemade". Lots of selections here...read full review
Had a traditional with rutabaga. Very tasty and filling. We were on motorcycles, so ordered through the drive up window and ate on picnic tables. No inside seating due to the virus.

So many places in the UP claim that their pasties are the best, but we are here to say that there are none better than what we had at The Pasty Oven. We had the original with rutabaga, but there were also other varieties to pick from. It was drive-thru only, no dining in the restaurant itself.
