Akways good food here. Prices haven't seemed to increase all that much but, I noticed that the meats added to the dishes are getting rather slim ... the bread is fantastic and plenty of it?
Had lunch 3-21-24 with a friend. I ordered the Chop House crab cakes lunch that I have had several times over the years. The rice pilaf was good as usual however, the crab cakes have changed and not in a good way.I make Maryland crab cakes and use bread crumbs as binder for the crab. Just enough to keep the cakes together when cooking. The crab cakes I had today at Kruse and Muer tasted like they used bread crumbs (or something) as a filler not just a binder of the crab. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! Their bread is delicious and every dish I have tried there has been amazing, especially the Maryland chicken and the seafood pan roast. Service is pretty fast considering how busy they usually are. The ambiance can be a little noisy sometimes but you can usually still have a conversation.
