I’ve only lived in Michigan for a couple of years. My wife and I love catfish. Out of a dozen or so places we have had catfish this place is absolutely the best. We go here about once every 3 weeks on Friday night love this place staff is great owner is hands on and helping out every time we have been there. Clam chowder is excellent also.
This damn Catfish is the ultimate. It almost has a sweet taste to it. Fried perfectly. Not too salty. Been going here for years. Started going for lunch when I worked at the plant. One of my favorite places to get catfish and I only go to 3 places. I used to think they had a black dude in the kitchen because ain't no way that catfish is supposed to be that damn good. It melts in your mouth ?.I also fell in love with the tartar sauce and pickles.

No frills, regular restaurant. I didn't appreciate the place until well into my adulthood, but my elders have loved it and supported it for much longer. Solid breakfast, friendly service, reasonable prices. It's hard to expect more given the location. I'm happy they seem to do well. There isn't much competition in the area, so it's a plus that the food is decent. I love the way they griddle their breakfast potatoes.
