“We were highly skeptical of this fish “shack”, but were immediately put at ease when visiting with the great grandson of the man who started the business in 1942. We love truly local places and hole in the wall experiences, and this is one of them! We bought smoked whitefish and the saltine crackers available at the counter. It seems like it might have been a place to eat at in the past, but we didn’t get that impression. The surroundings are a little sketchy but the fish was GREAT and we’ll return if we’re back in the area!“

“Pizza lunch buffet is great, especially for the price! They even asked us which pizzas we like as we paid at the beginning and brought those out onto the buffet line. They were friendly and helpful. Line was kept clean & refreshed. Definitely will come again and recommend to others!Kid-friendliness: Prices are great. Surprising amount of options for a smaller buffet. Plenty for kids to pick him.“

“This place is in the most beautiful island in Michigan,:). Their fudge are awesome. Gives a good feeling if you are there when they are making those fudge. I think the fudge making is the most beautiful work anyone can do. But yes, it's tough and time consuming. I think I tried 30% of the falavored or different fudges. I preferred mostly chocolate based ones till now, rather than the others. Chocolate, dark chocolate, and sea salt caramel were my main pick. I'm not saying others are not great, just not into those flavors. Go ahead and try. You will love them. I wish there were some, which combines ground coffee, chocolate, and 15% dark chocolate together. This would smell awesome.Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible.“

“Nonna Lisa's was the location for one meal we we had in Mackinac City, and it was amazing. It was late evening and we needed dinner. Being late in the season, many places had closed up already. Find Nonna Lisa's open proved to be a treasure. It's rustic decor is suitable for all types of dining experiences, being informal to formal. The food arrived in a timely manner, yet not rushed. Regarding the food. . . .it was delicious! It definitely set a high standard for any other place we might visit in Mackinac City. Nonna Lisa's set a high standard in food, service, and atmosphere.“
