Java Joe's Cafe Reviews
This is for the vegan reader this establishment is not VEGAN FRIENDLY.
I completely understand that the world eats omnivore..and that's fine but respectfully if you're going to have a vegan option on the menu why do you never have the supplies to make the vegan option?!
This is the 2nd or 3rd time we have been here from out of town to find yet again they do not have the supplies. I really have no idea why it's even on the menu at this point.

I was here one time and loved it. This morning I drove from camping in Munising, a two hour drive that I waited to eat. I knew they closed at 1:30pm based on the hours they have listed online. I walked in at 12:55pm. At 12:58 I was told just coffee available, the kitchen closes at 1pm. So frustrating and rude. If your kitchen closes at 1pm, change your hours to 1pm.
We had such a fun time at Java Joes! The food was great and the service was amazing. Highly recommend!

Java Joe's Cafe is a long-standing favorite spot in St. Ignace, known for its delicious breakfast options and friendly service. The eclectic menu offers dishes like the Hobo Omelet, Coconut French Toast, and Vegetarian Frittata. The food is fresh and flavorful, leaving no one hungry. The owners have made some upgrades while maintaining the cozy atmosphere. The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff, including a great waitress named Donna. Customers can enjoy a fun nautical atmosphere with two outdoor covered patios, which are often busy, especially before 1 pm. Despite a wait of about 15-20 minutes, guests find the place welcoming and lively, with a fun decor and a gift shop area to explore. Visitors often see the owners, Steve and Ashley, as well as the iconic Java Joe, for a unique dining experience. Some recent guests appreciated the accommodating service, such as the option to use egg whites instead of eggs and less oil. While the food generally impresses, some dishes like the seafood omelette are delicious, though others, like French toast with apples, may not meet everyone's taste. The coffee is highly praised, although occasional issues like long waits for coffee or bathroom odors can affect the visit. Overall, Java Joe's Cafe remains a popular spot for hearty breakfasts and a laid-back, friendly environment.
