A very friendly and welcoming Elks Lodge that made me feel at home while traveling solo. There are several RV spots with electric hookups. It was breezy during the day but the wind died down in the evenings. Great views of passing vessels and be sure to do shot when a Footer passes by! Also, check the menu…when I was there we had Philly Cheesesteaks.
Friday Night Fish Fry! Ordered takeout, whitefish dinner with, bread, fries, baked beans and cole slaw, food is awesome! Fish was cooked perfectly, sides were delicious, and the price was really reasonable. Just under $14 for four large pieces of fish with all those sides.
So when should you check out the Elks Club? When they have a wonderful (perhaps the best) View in your city, especially when it is a waterfront view. When they have great people working and volunteering to make the club a wonderful place for their community. And when the food they serve is truly worth the trip, regardless of the destination.
