Normally order the lemon rice soup which is always delicious. Always have great service and food. Highly recommend!

Review based on takeout:I used to come here a lot for takeout. However, I stopped going since they got rid of the takeout trays.They wrap the Reuben sandwiches with wax paper which caused all our Reuben’s to be soggy once opened.This is not an issue when you eat in the restaurant, they make a great Reuben and other good food (especially onion rings) when eating on site however, not so good when ordering takeout.
This used to be our go-to deli in Macomb County. The Jewish rye, freshly sliced deli meat, tangy coleslaw, crinkle fries and service were amazing. They no longer have crinkle fries, which was a huge disappointment. The last time we were there about a month ago, the coleslaw was a very strange yellow color and tasted odd. We asked the server if they changed the recipe but I think she was new and couldn't shed any light on the weird coleslaw. She offered to replace it with a side salad. When I looked at my bill later, she had charged me $4 for the replacement side salad, lol.In addition, the portion sizes were definitely smaller. We used to be able to share an order of fries and I could never finish my whole sandwich, but recently the turkey sandwich was skimpy on turkey and there was a very small portion of fries. I heard there are new owners. Unfortunately, I think they may be making some poor decisions.I always like to add a positive note even with a not-so-great review: The restaurant always looks extremely clean and the tables are bussed promptly. The kitchen is open to the public and looks very clean, tidy and well organized. The servers are always cheerful and friendly.

We used to stop quite a bit before when we were down that way, so decided to stop the other day should have kept going! The waitress suggested chicken tacos so I got them or what was supposed to be them! There we’re about 8 mini tacos with something that looked like baby food slathered in them didn’t look anything like chicken! My husband got corned beef and onion rings he said the meat wasn’t that good and I could tell the onion rings weren’t and he said they weren’t the breading didn’t even stick to them! Only thing good the waitress was nice, but won’t be back!

My wife and stopped in on a whim and we were surprised at how good the food was.I had the Slim Jim. Hadn't had one since my younger days at Big Boy but this was SO much better than Big Boy. It was absolutely fantastic.My wife had a Grilled Chicken Pita and she thought it was great as well.Our waitress was super nice, very friendly and engaged in quick conversations as she passed by. She was very tentative and we didn't have to wait long at all for anything we asked for.The ambiance is pleasant. Nice lighting, clean, music that you could hear but so loud you can't talk. It was the perfect background volume.We will certainly be going back soon and I'll be looking forward to it. It was just too good not to.

I'm kind of sad. I think they got new ownership. Unfortunately the food doesn't taste the same. I used to get Turkey SSR with Russian dressing and it tastes no where near the same. Different Turkey, totally different Russian dressing, and less meat on the sandwiches. It was ok tasting, but no where near as good as it used to be.
