We stopped here for lunch on a summer weekend. Cottage and camping area so restaurant was very casual, friendly. Quick and polite service. Burger and walleye were great plus clean bathrooms! We were pleasantly surprised after walking in with some hesitation but would definitely recommend this place.
This is the place of you are anywhere around. They have been doing this since 1935 and it is easy to figure out why they’re still here. Food is cooked to order and is so good! Not the least expensive place but here you get what you pay for. Ordered the Broasted Chicken with a side of Lake Perch. The portions are ample and may require a doggy bag. This is not a fine dining experience. It's just a local joint that also caters to the summer crowd. Drinks are decent, fried asparagus is good and a crowd pleaser but is gone by the time summer actually starts.
The food has gone downhill in the last few years. The hot turkey/roast beef sandwich used to be money. Now it's thin deli meat. Perch filets are small. Prices are too high for what you get. The Mexican food...isn't.
