It's like Cheers where everybody knows your name. The whole staff is awesome and the atmosphere is perfect. The real bummer is they got rid of the Bacon Jam burger which was the best thing on the menu. Last year was the Maple hot wings which disappeared too. If they bring it back they'll get 5 stars from me but that burger was a huge loss.
The bartenders were amazing, beer was cold, but the Bar Burger could’ve been a little saucier. Small criticism for an all-around good burger, which I especially liked paired with the arugula. Oh, and the fries were fire.
Seven Monk's is a taproom with many beers on tap along with ciders and cocktails. Many Traverse City favorites are available and new creations, as well. A few of the tables up front are self serve, so if you dont like the service, it's you own fault ! Lol ! Most of the tables have friendly servers. There are happy hour specials on food and drinks and a mug club for more frequent flyers ! We had the grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough with bacon and the Mac n cheese...
