We loved their flight of lightly sweet wines!

Black Star has a nice tasting setup and good service. We tried a wine flight and old fashioned flight on their patio area at our most recent visit. Their pricing per bottle is mid-level. We are looking for a variety of flavors in red wines and theirs tend to blend together for us and don’t provide as varied an experience as some other Old Mission wineries. It’s cool that they have a distillery. We will stop by again when we are in the area.

Came here with wifey because a buddy of mine really wanted a bottle of Spirit of Cherry Eau de Vie. We both ordered cocktails while we waited to meet with our friends. Almost 30min later, no drinks. We just went to the counter, brought the bottles, and left. Server told me our drinks are almost ready, that they would bring it to us,lol. Funny thing is that two couples sat after us got their drinks within a few minutes. No good guys.

They have awesome wines, great service and always a great place to go! Highly recommend

Love this small location! And their wines are delicious! The Pinot Noir Rose is my absolute favorite and must buy every time I see it! So glad it's sold at Total Wine!

Black Star Farms’ location on the Old Mission Peninsula is a pleasant spot with a good selection of drinks to try. I stuck with trying wines from their main brand, but my friend was able to get a flight of old fashioned cocktails too. They also had a tasting of their spirits. The staff was very friendly and talkative, and the drinks were delicious. They’re quite generous with their samples, and I was able to taste several items I was considering. You really can’t go wrong with stopping here.

We’ve been to Black Star multiple times over the years and always have a great experience. Their winter harvest riesling and cab franc reserve are enjoyable and some of my favorites. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Chai old fashioned was surprisingly good, just the right amount of spice and classic old fashioned flavours. Wait staff was not courteous. We had a group of 8 people, not one had a good experience. Nice layout. Good spirits.

My small group stopped in on November 8th, about an hour before closing time, and it was quite busy. After wrapping up with a large group, Bryce quickly greeted us, assessed the seating availability, and provided us with a semi-private space to enjoy our tasting. During our visit, Bryce was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, took time to discuss the wines (even though it was busy), and provided us with an enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Spent an afternoon at Black Star winery on Old Mission. Service was wonderful - Juliana and Nick were very friendly and professional. Juliana was very helpful and knowledgeable in explaining the different wines we sampled. This was my first time visiting. Had a great time - Would highly recommend visiting again.
