This distillery tour was delightful. The two of us joined another group (of four) for the tasting and tour, and thanks to our host/guide, we all felt like friends. Our host was knowledgeable and helpful during the tasting and the tour was comprehensive but not too long. If you go, you'll need a reservation - and it will be difficult to leave without some of their fine spirits. I highly recommend "Isles O' Rye" if you like Scotch whisky.
Great tour and fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Grand Traverse is definitely my personal favorite distillery in the Traverse City area with some great bourbon and whiskeys. My favorite was the Ole George Single Barrel, had to go home with a bottle!

We had the Grand Traverse Distillery tour Friday afternoon with Mike, and it we had a great time! Mike was personable, engaging and very knowledgeable. He explained the process well, answering all of our questions and it was nice to see behind the scenes. We came away with a greater appreciation for the craft, and got to taste some of the products that we might not normally have ordered... which led to some new favorites!
