This is the best restaurant in Traverse City. We came here for an early lunch on a rainy day. Understated excellence in every way, including the bathrooms. The cheese bread is perfection. Good house wines, no fuss, six dollars. More sustainable than most restaurants, no styrofoam. Homemade tiramisu and cold brew with cream was the best finish! Jake, thank you for such great service.

The food was pretty bland. We ordered the Italian chop, Caesar, meatball app, carbonara and the bolognese.
The salads were awesome, especially the Caesar. However, the other three dishes were missing salt. The bolognese sauce was watery, under flavored and would benefit from some sort of spice. The carbonara was bland.
Portions were good!
