Had to wait for our table even with a reservation. Something happened - waitress forgot to enter or kitchen forgot to make it - with our appetizer so we had to mention it after 20 minutes and then it was backed up to our entrees. Food was fine but not worth the price (walleye for $44). I do like that the ingredients are sourced locally. Drinks were tasty.

Setting expectations is an art form. We had high expectations of Trattoria Stella based on the reviews and news articles posted in the waiting area with one claiming that the establishment was the best Italian restaurant in all of Michigan.

I enjoy cocktails and one of my default drinks is the Old Fashioned so naturally I ordered up their “Stellar Old Fashioned”. Now for me, any fine dining establishment should have a bar that pays attention...
