“In a word WONDERFUL. We came upon Brengman on a whim and a sign as we were heading to Mission wineries and stayed. After a less than stellar wine experience at a winery that shall not be named, we fell upon Brengman. We spent some time with Ben, who was engaging and knowledgeable. We tried an assortment of whites and reds and fell in love with the Chardonnay Cement and Right Bank red. We left with bottles of both and a new wine club membership…. Worth the stop….“

“The staff was phenomenal, the atmosphere was laid back and not pushy, absolutely awesome! We ended up getting a wine club membership for out of state shipping and loving every minute here. It is a little off the “main road” as a tourist but absolutely worth it!!!“

“We had a fantastic time at this spot – the service, food, and drinks were all top-notch! We really enjoyed our cider and wine flight during our visit to the old state hospital. For food, we tried some delicious small plates, including the Whitefish Pate and the Charcuterie Board. It was hard to pick a favorite cider, but Cinnamon Girl and Tepache were both incredible and truly tasted like autumn. We even left with a growler of each!“

“Our favorite wine on the peninsula! The menu is simple compared to others in the area, but each wine they offer is a classic that's bound to please. The building itself is a louder/open atmosphere, but the view is beautiful and there was some seating outdoors. We tried 3 different wines in the flight and each were very good“

“My boyfriend and I did the barrel room experience and absolutely loved it. You get to try 6 different wines and enjoy a delicious charcuterie board for 35 per person. Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive. I was impressed by the value of our dollar. The stone walls and relatively small square footage created the perfect cozy and intimate venue for a romantic night out. I will definitely be doing this again.“

“The view was pretty. My family and I got charcuterie board snd the flight. We also got the desert wine. Everything was yummy. I brought the bottle of desert wine and a wine glass to take hone. Looking forward to going there next year.“

“My husband and I have been going to TC for our anniversary every year x 11 years. Black Star Winery by far has the best white wines available. Tom befriended us the first time we came to Black Star and we come back every year just to say hello and catch up. Good friends, good wine, it doesn’t get much better than that!“

“I like this winery because the staff pays 0 attention to you, which is a great thing in my opinion! You can wander around and do whatever you want. Lots of seats outdoors. I was able to see the grapes still on the vine. I had a riesling, very good. Not bad prices for a flight. around 20 bucks for 2 people.“
