Never again , food is not made in-house. The customers are rude and so is staff. We've been here before, wanting to give them a 2nd chance . Nope, steer clear from this place. Don't even ask them about sourcing food. They have no clue and are very rude and hateful in response.

Ordered carry out….meatball, chicken parm and steak and cheese subs….all horrible, chicken parm was so overcooked it was black…..meatball was lacking substance and sauce…..on a positive note the pizza coming out looked good…..way overpriced for the content…..won’t repeat

My husband ordered pizza and fish and chips from this establishment online about a month ago when I tell you it was SUPERB!! So delicious! It was like having a pizza from back in the day before every pizza place start tasting mundane and the same. Well we tried it again last Sunday, ordered another pizza w fish and chips. Pizza tasted nothing like the first time pretty basic and the fish and chips was soaked in oil I was outraged that they even served that to a customer! It was horrible! NOW fast forward to today, my husband swayed me into trying them again seeing as how the first time was SO good he wanted to give them another try, well more money wasted! Another bold pizza SMH! All dough (THICK) went to pull a piece and ALL the toppings and cheese fell off! It was room temperature and bland! So it’s safe to say we’re done w this establishment. If I wanted a mediocre pizza I could have gone to any of the plethora of pizza places in the area and could have saved $15 out of the $20 I spent in Grottos.

Ordered the my Familia pizza special for $50.. It was subpar at best. The pizza was burnt and the Alfredo sauce was separated, and the pasta was severely overcooked.. Not quite sure what is going on with the weird out-of-town pizza boxes

Had 2 different wait staff no drinks for 20 min another table of friends didn't even get a server for 35 min and my hamburger was served raw! Would rate it lower if it was an option
Beautiful scenery. That's about the only good thing. I went here with my family. We all entered excited to try a new restaurant, and all left with disgusted tastes in our mouths. We ordered the onion rings and the pizza box nachos to start. The onion rings tasted like they were purchased from a fast food joint and the nachos were bland and burnt, not worth the $14. Then came the meals.
I got the calzone, with "spicy" sausage and mushrooms added. The dough was undercooked, the sauce did not taste homemade, the sausage was not spicy, and the mushrooms were scarce. My father got the same thing with different additions, and he had about the same reaction.
My mother and brother got the fish and chips. The fish was bland, the batter wasn't even crispy, and the fries were fine if underseasoned.
My grandmother got the caprese salad. It's hard to mess up a caprese salad, considering it is such a simple dish, but it's pretty bad when the lettuce is warm.
This place may as well just be a bar that serves drinks and finger food, because the meals were horrendous. Not to mention that they were out of minestrone soup, tarter sauce, and mozzarella sticks that we were going to order instead of onion rings. It's pretty bad when a restaurant has better ambiance and soft drinks than actual food. Left hungry and dissatisfied, we will not be returning.

Honestly I liked the way this place looked and in all aspects of respect that is the only complaint this place receives. My family and I came here to try a new restaurant and everything was terrible except the soda. The price to portion ratio was laughable, $14 for barly 2 scoops for ground beef, uncooked onions, burnt tortilla chips, unmelted bagged cheese and no salsa or any kind of dip except wet runny sour cream. Onion rings that taste like burger king fried them, bland fish and chips, multiple menu items not even being available 3 hours after opening, the meal experience was disgraceful and probably the worst thing about this establishment asid from the food was the staffing, upon entry employees arguing could be heard from the door at 2 separate times while at the restaurant, only one waiter [that was seen] on staff made everything worse as my margarita was melted, my grandmother's salad was warm and the wait for appetizers and entrées probably sucked whatever flavor was in the food out. The soda, decor, and music were the only highlights, one star for each. The one star rating was only so I could warn all of you.

Lettuce for salad was warm, as if it hadn't been refrigerated at all. Crust on canzone was under baked and had no flavor at all. Canzone fillings were tasteless. Nachos were overcooked. Onion rings tasted like they came from Burger King. All in all, a horrible experience.

Forgot half of our meal. Meatballs and side salad were missing, also the sauce under aranchie balls was missing unlike the photos on the website and on DoorDash and if you look at the video, you can very clearly see that my chicken is burnt to a crisp covered in literal black mess trash don’t eat here they don’t care

I brought three toddlers and friends from out of state here…..they were blown away. We were made to feel like family by ALL of the staff. Everyone was extremely welcoming (which isn’t always the case when you have 3 kids under the age of 4 in tow). The pizza was perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. We couldn’t have left happier. Thank you!
