Achatz was recommended to me a year ago and I just never found my way there….until a few weeks ago! Woooooweeeee!!! I’m not even a big pie person, but these are fabulous! Carrot cake was amazing too!! Also highly recommend strawberry rhubarb and Michigan Berry.

This my favorite pie place! And they were one of the Hour Detroit 2026 winners, so they are in demand.
However, during recent visits, only one staff member has been working, resulting in extended wait times. Customers purchasing a single item often wait behind customers with larger orders. And the staff member is engaging in extensive conversations with customers while there's a line. Not the best customer...
