Granite City Food & Brewery

It was my first time at this restaurant and it had amazing food, quick and friendly service and great atmosphere. I absolutely would recommend and will definitely be going back again!

Our experience for being a first time diner is... While the atmosphere was inviting there were several tables that were left with dishes and food lying around. Lets talk Spinach Artichoke Dip with the key word being Dip. It was impossible to dip anything as it was a mound of cheese that required a fork and knife. Then the main - Granit City Meatloaf what a hot mess..! The potatoes were extremely starchy, the loaf itself lacked flavor except for an abundance of salt. Having to remind the server that I only had one drink but he tried to charge for two was only compounded by the fact that he hovered over me to pay the tab and to witness the tip I was going to provide.. Clearly a return trip will not be planned there are plenty of places that step up to the table..!

We frequent Granite City often having a great experience. The food this time wasn't as good flavorful as previous visits. The server was very courteous, friendly and timely w/the service. The only “major” turnoff was that she constantly touched her hair at the table. I noticed her while managing other tables as well, . . conversing, dropping food then touch (stroke) her lengthy hair. She obviously does it often b/c it was a natural reaction while at the table.

Truly enjoyed the Bison burger with the extra large pickles and Jambalaya! Excellent service.

Granite City Food & Brewery never disappoints. The food, ambience, and service is great.

Danielle and Jeff are our favorite servers, but any one there will treat you like family.

It was our first visit to Granite City and we wanted to use my Birthday BOGO free. The experience was awesome, our server, Denea, was fantastic and the food was fabulously delicious. My hubby had the meat loaf and he ate the whole thing. I had the Chicken Tuscano and had to take half home, because the portion was very generous. Also, received a cookie for my birthday which was a very special treat. Will definitely be back soon!!!

Toya is an excellent server! Foos a little pricey but ok. My Ribeye steak did have a lot of fat on it.

We had a nice dinner, and got our food quickly.

We came to Granite City Food & Brewery to celebrate a college graduation and called ahead for a party of 15. We were seated right away in the back area where there were also two other large tables with kids. Unfortunately, only one waitress was assigned to the entire section, and while she truly did her best, it was obvious she was overwhelmed.

The food looked appetizing when it came out, but sadly it had very little taste or flavor. The only thing I would actually recommend is the artichoke and spinach dip. My son ordered the chicken fingers, and although his meal came out on time, he asked for a side of BBQ sauce and didn’t receive it until after he was already finished eating.

Drinks were not refilled the way they should have been, and there were errors with about 50% of our orders. They also automatically charged a 20% gratuity, which made the experience even more disappointing considering the level of service we received.

Overall, it was very disappointing spending so much money on food that did not taste good along with poor service. The waitress was trying her best, but the restaurant clearly did not have enough staff to handle large parties properly. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place based on our experience.

Granite city was the best at accommodating a large party. We took our hockey team and parents here between games and the service was great! They gave us our a room to the side and it was perfect for the kids not to annoy other patrons. We will use them again for our next tournament.
