“I would recommend the Westland location for friendly and prompt service. The sterling Heights location treated us so badly as soon as we entered that we left and went to the westland location. The Westland location was great. Fast friendly service. The food was all amazing. The choices are endless. There is something there for everyone. The atmosphere there is perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.Vegetarian options: I was able to fill two plates with vegetarian foods. Both plates were different. Many options.“

“A hidden gem. Wait staff very attentive, sweet and pretty. Food very nicely presented and VERY delicious. Has a very wide variety to chose from. We USED to have a favorite place for sushi....but it has been replaced. “I was so excited to try House of Umami as I love ramen. We visited for the first time on Easter. The decor is very nice, music was playing an a very reasonable volume. Our server was great!!!! The food......yummy. I got the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen, it was rich, hearty and very tasty! My spouse got the Ahi Tuna bowl. He very much enjoyed, but had one recommendation. The wasabi was buried at the bottom of the bowl, somewhat mixed in. His recommendation (and would likely order this way next time) have the wasabi on top where consumer can see and monitor how much they get in one bite. We also tried the plumb sake, yum! Will most definitely be back!“
“Who would have thought tucked back in Taylor there would be a sushi joint at rivals nearly every place I've been to in the state. Extremely fresh and innovative rolls with quick service (especially for 6pm on a Friday). Found a new favourite ? spot!!Do yourself a favor and get the Tuna Otorro nigiri. Next Level.“
“I have been here a bunch and I never have a bad visit. Each time I go I try to get something new that way it never gets boring. I’ve had the teriyaki salmon, I’ve had the sushi(both cooked and raw, bento boxes, and a ton of their appetizers and every time I am impressed. Not only is the food good but so is the staff. I do wish they would be open all day but aside from that, nothing but good things to say about this place!“
“BEST sushi I have ever had in Michigan. I ordered the Dragon Roll and Sunset Roll - both were so fresh & delicious. (The eel sauce & spicy mayo were the perfect duo) I would have posted a photo …but I ate it too fast. The service was amazing and I would 10/10 come back again!“
“I recommend 888 but ONLY when Michelle is working. My boyfriend & I went in last night & of course it’s a night when Michelle isn’t working (she doesn’t work fridays but at the time i didn’t know) There is 5 other tables in there so we are patient (i’m a server myself, i know it’s hard to deal with so many tables at once) but i noticed almost everybody around us already had there food. (maybe 1/5 tables didn’t have their food) We sat down, 2 mins later she comes to give us our menus, we come here pretty often so we don’t need menus & the stuff we wanted weren’t on those menus anyways, it was on the appetizer menu on the table. 10 mins passes by, nothing. she walks past us 2 times & we don’t even have drinks yet, we set the menus at the end of the table indicating we were ready to order when she had the chance. another 5 mins passes by, she checks on the table next to us / behind us & still does not say a word to us. at this point i’m aggravated because this is 3 times she’s walked past, we’re about 20 mins in & we don’t even have DRINKS yet. end of story, we walked out, like i said, im a server myself & having your table sit there for 20+ mins & not even asking for their drink order is terrible service. Anyways, again, i ONLY recommend going to 888 when michelle is working, maybe she needs to be put on Fridays instead of the other girl.“
