“What a great place to go for a meal. The options are very nice and they offer 4 types of fish as well. Portion sizes are very nice and the catfish I had were very big pieces. “We catered for our party from satay to go. They were amazing. We ordered several appetizers and main courses and everything turned out great. From the sandwiches, egg rolls, wontons to megoreng and nasigoreng. They even threw in a complimentary dessert. Great service and very collaborative. Made everything seamless. “Celebrated 2 Birthday’s and the food was fabulous. Started with a Blooming Onion which was very good. Shrimp skewers on seasoned rice was excellent along with fresh green broccoli and a salad which I took home. Portions are big. Enough for a second meal.And a complimentary ice cream sundae. Fresh made rolls were excellent as well. Service was superb. Fun place to celebrate any occasion The other 3 people at our table enjoyed the shrimp, 6 oz filet and salmon. Will definitely be returning. Very attentive staff!”

“Great ramen. Nice atmosphere but the lovely woman working the front made our day. She recognized my daughter was having a rough day and treated her with such kindness, she came around the counter and helped her choose what she wanted and gave her a squeeze. Our food was brought out right away and then Cat I think her name was hugged my crying daughter and whispered something to her and gave the stressed, short fused momma a hug too. Thank you for your kindness and reminder that I needed a little more patience. We will be back on a better day!”

“The food at Kumar's was surprisingly exceptional! The authentic blend of South Indian spices is perfect, and the people there are authentic, open to questions, and open to helping those who are less knowledgeable about Indian dishes. Kumar's also takes pride in their cuisine and their ethnic traditions. The weekend buffet is a culinary and educational experience, delicious and generous. Everything dish is delicious, and the pani puri explodes in the mouth. The prices are also more than reasonable, particularly for the quality of product and service. I will be making Kumar's our "go-to" place. I highly recommend this gem in the middle of Apple Valley.

Vegetarian options: The buffet has a large vegetarian section -- equal to the extensive non-vegetarian offerings.

Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome, but proper table manners and behavior are appreciated.

“Yesterday my family celebrated my retirement with a family lunch at my favorite restaurant - Red Robin in Apple Valley. Most of the group had never been to a Red Robin but they are now big fans just like me. The food was exceptional, Heather (our server) was fantastic, and even though we were the only ones who knew it was a special occasion, we were treated to the highest level of customer service! Heather and everyone involved in our visit made my day. Thank you so much!”

“Came here over the weekend with my family. Ordered several Toscano pizzas as they are our favorite. I get a modified Toscano as I sub the sausage for pepperoni but I absolutely love this combination; the roasted red bell peppers give a little hint of sweetness and are a nice contrast to the pepper flakes. Plus, basil which is always good on pizza.

Pizzas came out good but was a little disappointed with the service. Several tables were dirty and we wanted to sit at a booth. Asked if someone could wipe one down for us and while they did send an employee out, I felt her attitude was not very obliging. She came off rude and was not very friendly once she brought our food to us which was off putting. Aside from that, we still had a good time.

Parking: Several restaurants share this large parking lot so it gets packed and somewhat difficult to find a space.”

We had a large group (12 people) come in an hour before closing. We stopped by on our way to have dinner before heading to MN Zoo for their Jack O Lantern event. I was pleasantly surprised to see the person greet us with a smile and such friendliness. We got settled down quickly and he came around, still with a smile, to take our orders. Everything came out fresh and fast. Again, to our surprise, we assumed the pho broth would've tasted watered down because it was the end of the night but the pho was exceptionally packed with more flavor than the spice packets itself. Although, the extra large bowl looked almost identical to the regular large for more $. We also had the bun bo hue, it was good, but maybe that was watered down because I couldn't really taste the shrimp and lemon grass flavor. The spring roll was good, decent size.

As for the service, A++. It's really hard to find good customer service (especially in any Asian owned business) but they surpassed me and my family's expectations. The tip was included in the receipt, but we also tipped extra generously, too. Hope these people thrive in their business and continue to see growth in their endeavors.”

“I went to meet a friend today at Apple Valley Perkins. The lot was full. I am disabled. Both senior citizen spots were filled. Three of us got there about the same time so we pulled into spots next to the senior citizen spots. One of the cashiers (long gray hair)came out throwing her arms up in the air and motioning for us to leave. I rolled down my window and she hollered, "THOSE AREN'T PARKING SPOTS!! THERE AREN'T ANY LINES!" She motions like she was making lines on the pavement The other two cars LEFT! I stayed ONLY because I was meeting a friend. SERIOUSLY? This is how you treat your customers? My friend showed up and she parked where I was going to park. The hostess was on the phone so she didn't control the parking. A while later, she came around to all the tables asking who owned the white vehicle out in the lot. We frequent Perkins a lot and have parked in those spots before with no problems. A walk from Petco is a little to much. Especially for a disabled person.”

“A local Rochester, MN restaurant chain -now branching out to a new location- Newt’s (Apple Valley) brings everything we love about the Rochester locations (GREAT burgers, beers, and unlimited popcorn!) to our little corner of the Metro. “Favorite Chinese Spot. The Combo Plate is an unbeatable deal and I often have leftovers. Sesame Chicken, Broccoli Beef and Lomein is my usual. Many of their side dishes are amazing as well including the donuts and teriyaki sticks. Cream Cheese Ragoons are decent. They are always friendly, quick and helpful.”

“I usually don't write reviews, but it seems when I walk into any retail restaurant with a large order you can kind of expect employees to roll their eyes or seem annoyed that you have a large order. Eventually you get used to it. I had 3 large subs made today by Braeden (apologies if I got his name wrong). My order was a vague text message from a friend and Braeden was patient with me as I read out the order, asked questions to make sure the order was correct, referred to me as "sir", polite and prompt, and his general attitude tells me that he enjoys this job which is rare nowadays. He was the only employee there I could see and everything in the store appeared stocked and clean. Two thumbs up from me, I hope Subway treats him well.”

Good place to get more interesting cuts of meat, bulk spices, Mexican baked goods, horchata, prepared food, etc...Bonus for the frozen fruit bars you can't seem to find anywhere else.Def come here anytime you're making something other than basic food :)”

I used the the rest room and on my way there she asked me if I wanted cream and sugar, i said no thank u, came out, and she said coffee was on the house, Wow! That really made my day. I thought of her and Dennys each and every sip of coffee. I live in Chan , but I will make the drive back again. Thanks a bunch. Rog”

“I love that this is not a franchise coffee shop. Their atmosphere is pretty unique and their coffee is really tasty! They extended working hours until 5 pm now. However, I would recommend to come for coffee in the morning as it is usually better. It depends who the barista is too! Last time I came at 2 pm and my cappuccino tasted exactly like brewed coffee with cream (why did I pay for my drink as a cappuccino? There was no foam whatsoever!) When I got to the coffee shop, the cashier was busy taking a phone order . Despite of 2 idling baristas, I had to wait for 5 min before anybody would start taking my order.”
