“My new favorite restaurant. Everything we had was amazing! We had shareable plates, so we could try a bit of everything. We couldn't stop eating. Then, the leftover collard greens were great in an omelet the next morning lol. I'll definitely be back.“

“Just ate here on a whim. Wife picked it from a huge list on google. They did not disappoint. Order the fried chicken. You won’t be sorry. I also had burnt ends. Prolly the best I’ve ever had. Sticky toffee pudding and banana Creme pie for dessert. This place was off the chain. Great food great atmosphere great service. Will be back soon. I’m kinda of mad at myself for not ordering another sticky toffee pudding to take with me. 200 stars. Thanks for a great meal“

“I come to and enjoy Brasa consistently enough that I should finally write a review. The short: service is consistently friendly and helpful, food is consistently good, great gluten-free option with (thus far) no cross-contamination incidents, and a very casual atmosphere. All of my friend group have different favorites: the egg sandwich, the pork bowl, the chilaquiles (my personal favorite.) Every protein comes in different forms: a plate, a sandwich, or a bowl. Most options (except the sandwiches and a couple of sides) are gluten-free. Quick run down of what I've tried: * Chilaquiles with red sauce (the GOAT): the red sauce is such a great flavor and pairs well with the smothered chicken. Their pickled jalapenos and an egg on top makes it a perfect weekend lunch dish. * Egg sandwich: the red sauce reappears on this, to great effect once more. Otherwise it's a simple-but-great egg sandwich served with their tortilla chips. * Fish sandwich: not bad, not my favorite. Flavors are not as punchy as the other options I've had. * Mac and cheese: delightful and simple, thick cheese sauce, no complaints. Crispy yuca, fried plantains, sweet cornbread, also all good. Really, the menu is full of great options. Their beverages don't disappoint either, the coffee and tea are very nice quality -- tea always comes out with a great color and flavor (not bitter at all), coffee pleases even the pickiest coffee nerds in my friend group. Also: no tipping, service fees are built into the menu prices.“
“Ambiance, music, service - this place has it all. It's our go-to recommendation for visitors from out of town, and more often than not, we come along too!Just make sure to look up the past work of the musicians before booking, because the styles vary wildly. Our least favorite was a band that pretty much sounded like elevator musak /: That said, they were still great musicians, and we've always enjoyed our outings here.If you book far enough in advance, you can snag the super close up balcony seats, which are really a VIP experience, or the snug little booths, but even at the longer group style tables, you'll have a blast.“

“I'm a staunch supporter of restaurants blazing the trail for tipless pricing as it tends to be more equitable for staff and simpler and more transparent for all. Brasa is tipless, saying it pays its workers $16-25/hr, and it does everything right: delicious rotisserie chicken (pollo a la brasa), tasty sides (the spicy creamed spinach wasn't actually spicy hot, but it was tangy and creamy), fast service, and reasonable prices---remember, no tipping expected. The two-piece rotisserie plate is $15 as of this writing and is enough to satisfy most appetites. An excellent deal for food this delicious and well-prepared. The décor and vibe is very nice too.“

“2024.04.20.Stopped by this weekend for brunch. Not sure how they are making it here as the place is pretty empty for brunch.Went with the chicken chilaquiles this time, hadn't had it before. Doll had the classic with a johnny cake on the side. I was surprised by how tender the chicken in the chilaquiles was, not dried out day old chicken. Perfect ancho seasoning with cotija cheese. Crispy chips and two eggs, really good. Doll loved her classic brunch and the johnny cake.Thank you Mr. Boemer, for your time today. Colleen and I enjoyed chatting with you. You have created a wonderful chain of restaurants and we enjoy visiting them. Today we came in for brunch, doll requested the BLTE as it was no longer on the menu, they obliged! I went for the brisket, potatoes and an egg. Both very tasty. The only thing I would say is that the brisket was slightly dry and chewy. Tasted great. And I appreciate that you took a few minutes to chat with us.“

“was a bit worried after reading a few 1 or 2 star reviews but 3 beef ribs I had were very smokey and tender yet chewy. ribs came with sauce already, more of sticky type than runny but goes well with smokey ribs. I liked side toasts with some cheddar sauce on 'em and lightly cajun fries. without knowing I stood and waited for about 30 mins or so (no chair and area's kinda dark) but food was worth the wait. Amos allows call-in so next time Imma call in to try other stuff!“

“This is an excellent spot for a variety of reasons. In addition to delicious food and excellent cocktails, the Hog is a dynamic setting where you can sit/dine in the bar area or host special events in the back dining area. The ambiance is relaxed and background music, mostly 90s Hip-hop and R&B, sets the mood. The staff is welcoming and efficient and cannot say enough good things about Jorge and Bree. Jorge made hosting an event at the Hog an easy process and our server Bree took care of every person at this 50-person event. All the guests complimented the space and the food during and afterwards.“

“I wanted to patronize the local Black economy while I was in town for a conference. I found this place on my last day. It seems you can only reserve a table. The wait staff are young, but knowledgeable, they all work well together in their three sections. Restroom was clean‼️ I tried the French toast and chicken wing (whole) organic because they weren’t huge, which is great to me! I also got the plain Mac n cheese to go(? no picture but the taste??). The owner walked around greeting every table. If you’re in Minneapolis definitely plan to dine here!“

“I got a brisket plate with a side of creamed corn. The brisket was really tender and had a great smoky flavor. I was actually blown away by the flavor of the corn. It was phenomenal. I'll definitely come back to try more of their menu options.“

“I can't wait to go back!! The aroma in the parking lot will send you running in. It was our first time here. We both ordered pulled pork sandwiches and they were soooo delicious and on point: moist tender smoky meat on a grilled brioche bun. So top notch. The bbq sauces are out of this world! I'm buying bottles next time. The cole slaw was very good as well as the mac n cheese. Person taking our order was very friendly and efficient. Only thing I noticed is I think they need more space as its kind of small there and was hoppin and pretty crowded at lunchtime.“
