I had made a reservation for the hibachi table. First the host was unable to see my reservation until I showed him my name from his tablet. Seating seemed to vary based to their preference who would be seated. We were offered a regular table which is not what I had reserved. Hostess even mentioned that it would be better for us because we did not have to pay extra 20% fee. Maybe we looked like we couldn't afford it ? We were hungry and finally agreed to take the regular table. Food was not hot and was very bland. They take more reservations than they can handle. If a reservation is made to certain type of table - that should be held. Was not the type of experience we wanted to have and cannot recommend this place.
Great food and service, would definitely return felt like it was a great value for the money
Very disappointed Loud, waited an hour and 20 minutes for chef. Drinks took 30 minutes Had to find manager to get the chef. Manager took $30 off the meals total. That was it. Food was ok. Shrimp was low quality. Steak was good. I have eaten that many Benihana‘s over the years. It seems like they have gone very corporate on their food. The sauces were obviously premade, and the vegetables were frozen and it's been really dumped down. It's a shame because it's always been one of my favorite places. I hate to post things like this
Seriously... three people for lunch ...we waited 15 min for a waitress... one persons order 30 min later then 15 min later the second persons order came and another 10 min for my order... the first person was done eating by the time mine came.. and i was the last to finish. The waitress slapped down extra beverages not asking if we wanted them... was not very cordial. For the way they served will not be back anytime soon
Our Cook was just not good. She barely engaged and didn't ask how we desired the food to be prepared. She spoke Spanish and spoke in Spanish to the other Spanish speaking guest at the table but didn't really talk with us. The space was not as clean, dishes were dirty. The waiter kept forgetting things. It was my husbands birthday he didn't ask what we were celebrating so no desert. It just was not good.
To celebrate my husband and I getting married, I decided to book a reservation at Benihana as he had never eaten here before and our two friends would be accompanying us. I have been to Benihana at two other locations, this location being the third and worst. I explained to my husband and his friend that Benihana's prices are more for the experience you get, less for the food. The food is good, but you're paying for the show as well when you do the communal seating. Apparently, you're paying for bad service, food waste, and to entertain yourselves at this location. Our server Ahmed visited our party twice over the span of 1.5 hours which is honestly absurd. We all ordered the 6-course meal which included tea and dessert and we were not served either of those items. When we brought it up, Ahmed almost seemed offended that we dare point out we didn't receive part of the meal we paid for. It took another 30 minutes to get our tea and a little scoop of ice cream past the 1.5 hours we had already been seated for. 2 hours total here. Insane. What's worse is it wasn't entirely busy, either. This is just their service standard here apparently. Ahmed was seriously unattentive and not a pleasure to be served by whatsoever. I had also ordered the chicken hibachi rice which in turn got served to the entire table (our table comrades as well). My order supplemeted the entire table yet only I paid for it. Outrageous. On to the hibachi chef whose name I didn't catch, but she was a shorter Hispanic woman. She was no fun. There is no beating around the bush here. No smiling, no jokes, no fun, no entertainment. Very disappointing as this has never been my experience with Benihana before. Our communal seating partners did not seem entertained in the slightest, either. Throughout our chef cooking our meals, I couldn't help but notice her tossing perfectly good food multiple times for no discernable reason. What would have been a normal serving of vegetables turned into a very miniscule
Food was OK. Chef was low energy and not interactive. Server started off great then disappeared. Won't go back and will try another place for Teppen.
For as Many times I've been at this place arounds the country, this location is just average. Not the excitement like Las Vegas locations or California.
It was the worst $350 we've ever spent. Service was extremely slow. It was an hour before the chef came out to our table. The prices are outrageous. Granted, we had the steak and lobster and eat chatty drink, but come on, $350!! There's a twenty dollar fee for absolutely nothing. It's not the tip. The table in front of us was so outrageous. The parents were drinking and the kids were left to taking food off of other people's plates and eating off the floor just to name a fewthings. It's the last time we'll ever eat there.
Waited over an hour for our chef and then we didn't get our white rice. Overall a very bland experience as our cook was just going thru the motions. Server was awesome and kept a positive attitude

Great food excellent staff they didn't disappoint food was a amazing and our chef was great.
Horrible food and service at Niagara Falls Canada location!!!!
We understand sharing a table is necessary, however crowding in 9 adults around a table that comfortably seats 7 was disappointing for the price charged. It was not comfortable or relaxing. Once seated, we were immediately served our salads and soup and then waited an hour for our Hibachi chef. The Hibachi chef did a nice job even though it was clear they were all stretched too thin. Will not be back anytime soon. Poor experience for the price.
I love this location and the staff. Staff is always so friendly and service is great. Food and drinks was great as well.
Service was some of the worst. We also were charged a fee for a group of eight or more and our group was 6 people.
