“I had the privilege of trying Channa Kitchen and meeting Anisa at the Linden Hills Farmers Market. This was my first time trying Trinidadian food, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. First, I tried the eggball ("mashed potatoes seasoned with aromatics and herbs, wrapped around hard boiled egg and fried in seasoned bread crumbs"). Then, Anisa gifted a plate of the doubles ("Turmeric-infused fried bread containing curry chickpeas and served with tropical chutneys") to try. All of it was excellent and I would definitely get all of it again. I highly recommend. Anisa was the SWEETEST and she treated us like dear friends from the moment we approached her stand. Her energy is radiant and her passion for sharing exceptional food and creating a delightful experience is unforgettable. I look forward to seeing her again and trying more of her offerings at the next farmers market, and I hope to make it to her location in south Minneapolis to pick up food before the next market because I cannot wait to try more. Channa Kitchen is a local gem, and I am excited to share this with my loved ones!“

“Overall, I give it a rating of very good.
My cabbage was just a slight burnt, I still at it. So if that tells u it wasn’t to bad. We got the jerk chicken, oxtails & curry chicken with rice and peas. Then we also got sweet/hot chicken wings, those were pretty good, just a bit more spice flavor will set it off. I will lastly say u can tell the cook, cooks with the love…

“Definitely a special spot in Minneapolis. I love the no-menu deal and even though I was a bit boring and asked for an old fashioned, it was probably the best old fashioned I’d ever had with decent whiskey. The service is exceptional and has a very nice vibe to it. Drinks were about $21 after tax which could be worth it if you want the best.“
