There’s something missing at Public Domain. The concept makes sense, and I've seen it work at cocktail bars in Milwaukee, Portland, and Seattle where cocktails made to order are no big deal. In corporate Minneapolis, there's supposed to be a prescribed cocktail menu. Structure and Minneapolis go hand in hand. This ain't no New Orleans or Portland, Oregon. Definitely a special spot in Minneapolis. I love the no-menu deal and even though I was a bit boring and asked for an old fashioned, it was probably the best old fashioned I’d ever had with decent whiskey. The service is exceptional and has a very nice vibe to it. Drinks were about $21 after tax which could be worth it if you want the best.

Public Domain is a restaurant that offers a wonderful atmosphere and great service. The bartenders, including Albert, take the time to get to know customers and create drinks based on their preferences, asking questions about sweet or tart flavors and allergies. They explain the handcrafted drinks they create and take pride in their concoctions. The cozy dim lighting and music create a relaxing ambiance, making it a popular spot that can get busy quickly. The banana buddy shots remain a highlight, and while the food portions may be small, the drinks are amazing and worth trying. Many customers love every drink served and appreciate the knowledgeable bartenders who enhance the experience with engaging conversations. The overall experience is enjoyable, making it a cute and moody place for a spontaneous date night. However, the lack of flavor in some dishes may leave some diners wanting more. Parking can be a hassle, though valet is available.
