In town from Michigan. We buy Macarons every we travel. These we terrible. Had to be couple days old. Crumbled to pieces first bite. Very disappointed.

I ordered a box of 5 macarons for $14. Three were old and dried out to the point of being trashed. These are too expensive not to be fresh. I would not shop here again.

I have to agree with the other 5 star reviewers. The macarons are perfect. The reviewer that gave a 1 star review doesn't make any sense. They claimed they went here for many years but one bad experience and they're done. Each one was flavorful with distinct flavors. And, the flavors actually taste as described. The strawberry macaron is heaven! Crisp outside and chewy inside. Like any fan of macarons, I've tried as many macarons as I can find - including Laduree from Paris and the Florian Poirot Cafe in York, England. A perfect macaron can be like a perfect chocolate chip cookie. Distinct and different in their own way. Maddie Lu's are different than Laduree but they are both fantastic macarons. Get a box (or two!) of the perfect macarons AND the misfits for $5 for 5! That's the best deal I've ever seen for macarons!

We visited Macarons by Maddie Lu on 10/13/25 around 11am and the attendant was fabulous. I had the dirty Dr. Pepper with coconut & lime. It was delicious. Also got a bag of the macaron misfits (excellent deal) and my daughter got a taylor swift themed rice krispy treat. I forgot my cell phone on the counter and the attendant noticed and called me back. She was so nice and attentive. I wish I could remember her name. If I ever visit the MOA again, I'll be sure to stop by Maddie Lu's.

My kid and I have gone here year after year, we LOVED these but I guess it takes one bad experience. We don't live near Mall of america but we usually stop and buy some if we are anywhere near it for whatever occasion. They used to be PERFECT, each flavor was distinct and each cookie baked to perfection. We got a pack of 10 with different flavors, a few old time flavors we've loved and a few new. My favorite is lavender honey, it didn't taste like lavender or honey, the lemon tasted like they threw the peel in. Almost every cookie was overly moist and very gritty as it seems they no longer use quality almond flour or are to lazy to sift or process it more. There is almost no filling in the cookies may be why they don't taste like much. As a customer of MAY years... I don't plan to ever purchase cookies from them again. It's obviously a money grab or maybe they are seriously struggling and cutting corners

The employee who packaged the macarons for me was really friendly. They are reasonably priced and were really great tasting! Perfect amount of cookie and filling ratio and the texture was perfect
