“Came back from fishing, always seen this place but never stopped by, decided to stop by for the prime rib but we were 1 hr early and was hungry and tired so we eat our burgers and came home before the food kicked in. Will drop by next time for the prime rib on sat.“

“McBees is a nice little bar and grill on the lake. Standard American bar fare, although I will say that you should try the hand cut fries. They're quite tasty. What makes McBees a must-stop destination is the cheesecake. It's homemade and sold by the quite generous slice. There are several varieties stocked so you might feel like you found small-town Minnesota's answer to The Cheesecake Factory. And you might just be right.“

“First time here. I had the pepper jack hamber steak with garlic mashed potatoes. I was not expecting half the cow to be on my plate! Holy cow the portions were large at a great price! Staff was friendly and a view of the lake behind the bar.“

“The curb appeal is not great. I love a good dive bar but this place is where the dive bar dove off. I was one of the first to arrive in the morning and it was empty. I was concerned I made a mistake. I went in and was greeted by the owner Jed. Jed recommended the Finish Line burger. Jed was spot on with his recommendation. That was probably the best bar burger I've had in a long time. As I devoured my burger the place slowly started to fill up. Jed knew almost everyone who walked in there by name. He worked the bar, the kitchen, and the dinning area. Super friendly place awesome food. It's exactly what you're looking for if you are in the mood for a towny bar with good food. I'd go back again. Next time I'm doing the wings. Everyone there ordered the wings.“

“I love this place! Awesome specials on both food and drinks. Friendly bartenders that love to chat but are not super annoying about it. The food is delicious, the beer is cold, and the drinks are strong. What more can you ask for in a small town bar?“
