ThaliWali, as expected of Gorkha Palace’s sister restaurant, has tasty, wholesome food made from locally sourced ingredients. After a wonderful experience with their lunch buffet, we left amazed this place wasn’t inundated with people. Maybe it was the weather. But we’re used to Gorkha Palace’s excellence in the Twin Cities, so we took a chance at this offshoot and were not disappointed. Ok, I finally dined at Thaliwala in Chanhassen. The buffet was in service but being unable to stop eating. I chose the single menu item of Lamb Vindaloo, a lamb curry with garlic and red chili, "HOT PLEASE". It was fabulous! I could have easily filled my hollow leg with food, even the naan was the best I've ever had. The staff was welcoming and generous with smiles and care. Quite possible will be eating there for lunch tomorrow. This restaurant will make it into my rotation....read full review
