“Extremely nice service, probably due to having peppy energy drinks. The ambiance is 1/2 vitamin store and 1/2 milkshake counter. I had an iced mocha which comes with whey protein, and it was delicious, although less sweet than my usual coffee drinks. Oh, the sacrifices I make to be healthy! (Just kidding). They have a large variety of teas, including fruit teas, decaf, and more. The staff will explain everything. If you're hungrier, they have many different shakes with even more protein and add-in options. Until the bakery across the street reopens someday, this is the only breakfast in town.”

“I stopped in to try one of their donuts. Fresh homemade donuts. I asked the person and she said their chocolate and maple long John were the favorite. They had Persian donuts that I have not tried and ordered. It was light and very delicious. It must have been fresh made as she asked if I wanted nuts on it and they put them on.”

They had Santa Clause giving little gifts to the children, you could make an ornament, and they had hot cocoa, chips, and hot dogs for the kids. ALL OF THIS WAS A FREE EVENT FOR THE KIDS! “The hydeaway is a small bar with big personality. This bar has many domestic beers and other beverages of choice. There’s not a kitchen but they have great frozen pizzas they can make for you. The best thing about the bar are the welcoming regulars and the staff. The Hydeaway usually has great entertainment on weekends and there are four-wheeler and snowmobile trails conveniently close as well. I promise if you’ve never been here before it’s worth a stop.”

“This is my absolute favorite bar to go to in Hibbing, not only do the bartenders know what they're doing when they mix your drink but they have great customer service. I have had problems getting weak drinks at other bars in town, but here they always get it right. I'd even go so far as to say it's the best bar in Hibbing.”
