“🌍 Pangea Market – A Hidden Gem for Global Flavors 📍 8500 Springbrook Dr NW If you're on the hunt for authentic, hard-to-find ethnic ingredients, Pangea Market is a treasure trove. This immaculate and well-organized store offers an impressive selection of international foods—from Jamaican to Greek, Indian to Middle Eastern specialties—all under one roof. 🛒 What I Found: Freshly baked breads, including soft, pillowy pita Bulgur wheat, perfect for tabbouleh or pilafs Briny olives and grape leaves ready for stuffing Kebab-flavored crisps (yes, they exist and they’re addictive!) Pistachio-studded baklava that rivals any bakery Flake bars for a sweet British treat Basturma sausages and halloumi cheese—at the lowest prices in town 🥬 Produce & Pantry: Their fresh produce section is surprisingly large and vibrant, and the shelves are stocked with premium olive oils and what I’d call the best basmati rice you’ll find locally. 💬 Service & Pricing: The staff are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, making the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. Prices are fair—often lower than other ethnic markets in the area—and the quality is consistently top-notch. A special shoutout to the kind cashier who went above and beyond by helping me carry my groceries to the car. That level of care makes a lasting impression. 🍰 Dessert Dilemma: With so many international sweets to choose from, picking just one is nearly impossible. (Pro tip: don’t. Grab a few.) Whether you're restocking your pantry or exploring new cuisines, Pangea Market is a must-visit. It’s not just a grocery store—it’s a global culinary adventure.“

“I really enjoyed Sofra Kitchen. I ordered the Sofra Special Chicken Wrap with fries and a Turkish fruit tea. The food was very good, however, as someone who loves spicy food, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t much of a kick to the wrap I ordered. I also ordered the pistachio and walnut baklava, which they served with fresh-brewed tea and a sugar cube. The baklava with the tea was a delicious end to the meal—and our waitress even gave us a second round of tea when we drank it all. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm, and there were only a couple other people in the restaurant during the couple hours we were there. It was a Monday afternoon, though, which might explain the slowness. Overall, I recommend Sofra Kitchen to anyone wanting to get a taste of middle-eastern/mediterranean food, as there are many items on the menu, and you can probably find something to fit your taste.“

“If you crave a different kind of food experience, a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern buffet with big flavors and a large variety of dishes to choose from. You won’t leave the place hungry. We like the babaganoush, hummus, tabule, lentil soup, the pita and breads, the various ways they make ribs, kofta kebab, and the great desserts, like kunafa and baklava. Once in a while, some of the food weren’t hot enough. All you have to do is just wait until they bring out more food from the kitchen. Be sure to ask for mint tea, it is our favorite drink. The place is usually packed with folks from the Middle East and Africa during lunch. Between lunch and dinner, you will not have trouble finding a table.“

“Used to be a dentist in the area so I’ve eaten here a few times. It’s been a while but I happened to be in the area a couple of days ago. I decided to grab a chicken shawarma wrap, and per usual it was very delicious. There was a little mishap with my payment but the guy was so respectful, professional, and polite. All around a really positive experience. I highly recommend“

“They serve a gyro burger there that will knock your socks off. Just think hamburger with everything a gyro has on it for a topping. Ask for it to be spicey and they will add pickled peppers. And there French fries have a seasoned light crunch crust. A place you might see on Triple D some day.“
