I ordered Grape leaves, The Lamb Experience, Filet Mignon Kabob skewer, extra dinner salad, extra order of rice, extra pita bread and some additional items. Food arrived on time, but barely warm and with some missing items. All extras that I ordered and paid for were missing. That didn't upset me as much as, when I called them to let them know, I was missing items, I got an answering machine, so I left a message. A few hours later, I called again and left another message. So, since Tuesday, I am still waiting for a call back. I don't expect a reimbursement at this point, but a simple call back and an apology, would be nice! I would not recommend, or will I ever order from them again!“

“Honestly I'm shocked reviews are so low. Some of the best airport food I've ever had! And many gluten free options!!! Which is nearly impossible as someone with celiac. Airports suck for celiacs, and dining hours need to adapt with travel schedules, but that's another story... This place has a halal certified food truck that serves shwarma, hummus, falafel, and more. The servings are slightly small but the quality is immensely good. Chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Hummus was good - much, much better than store ought. I'm serious. If you're in MSP, go eat here. You'll be glad you did. I got the chicken shwarma with hummus and my fiancee got the falafel. She got the pita, which they steam and place in a bag. We shared dolmas. All tasty!“

They call it Embetito Dnish—potato sandwich. Nothing fancy. Just warm sliced potatoes, fresh tomato, romaine, green senstro peppers, olive oil, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt, all wrapped in toasted bread.

What makes it hit? The contrast.

The warmth of the potatoes and bread. The cool bite from the romaine and tomato. The salty edge mixed with olive oil. A slight heat from the green pepper. And that twist of lemon—it wakes everything up.

Then there’s the tea. Hot, simple, spiced with Aforki’s touch. You feel it in your chest.

“I was staying in the University of Minnesota and this place was a life saver when I did not want to eat in the dining hall. Their falafel sandwich was genuinely some of the best falafel I have ever had and their fries were undoubtedly the best fries I have ever had. “This unpretentious East African eatery is tucked into a strip mall in Eagan. Upon entering, the first thing you’ll notice is the remarkable aroma. It’s a foretaste of delicious food to come. It’s a converted pizza joint with a very small dining room, that probably has a capacity of around 20. The layout is a little awkward, but the proprietors were very friendly, which enabled us to enjoy a leisurely dinner with friends. Per the recommendation of our friendly cashier, we ordered the goat meat with rice and a gyro with fries. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. The.gyro Is not your typical Greek hero, but a fun East African twist on the theme. Really yummy. We also ordered samosas, which were excellently spicy and truly tasty. Service isn’t super quick (about 25 minutes for our party of 6), but the food came out exceptionally fresh and was worth the wait. Everyone in our dining party was very happy with their food and generous portions and hospitality. We’ll be back.“

“I just got dinner from this cute hole in the wall Somali restaurant and it was soooo good! Just Don’t use “ZING” link to order. Call them instead or use Uber Eats. The ZING page doesn’t communicate with the restaurant so my order never got placed. They were SO helpful when I got there and made my food so quickly ! The Best sambusa’s I’ve had in a long time and the beef and rice was also so tender and flavorful.“

Today was particularly wonderful with the Vegetable Samosa and Seasonal Hard cider (kiwi in June).
The samosas were wonderfully crisp and full of flavor. The accompanying sauce and pickled veggies were over the top. The service was friendly and Tigist seemed to genuinely care that I was enjoying my order.
