Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is a reliable spot with friendly staff, often greeted with a smile. The front desk staff are the sweetest people, and their laughter is infectious. Breakfast is always great, and the pies and cakes are a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and hard to pass up. The caramel apple pie is a favorite to take home. However, service can be inconsistent; some servers are rude, impatient, and inattentive, with no to-go boxes or drink refills. The restaurant can feel a bit run down and worn, even when empty. Food quality varies—pancakes can be not very flavorful, and crispy bacon may be greasy. The senior menu is reasonably priced. On the positive side, the staff goes above and beyond, offering a new cookie for a dropped one and rescuing a left water bottle. The rotating specials, like the breakfast quesadilla, are surprisingly good and worth trying.
