“I am always skeptical of bar food, but Yankee Tavern was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the burrito bowl with the brisket on the side (I'm a vegetarian) and they were easily able to accommodate the request and give the brisket to my table mate. The food was incredibly flavorful. Yes, even without the meat. The rest of our party shared the same sentiment. The French fries were crispy, the food hot, the portions large, and the service was great. My only complaint is they only played new country music the entire time. That may actually keep me from returning.

“I just came here to say these were the best bang bang skrimp wraps I've ever had. crunch, on point! sauce, on point! even the slaw which I'm usually not a huge fan of by itself, on point! perfect portion, cherry coke on tap was great too! My friend had the nachos and they were huge, although they were served in a large bowl, I would find it easier for cheese distribution if served on a platter of some sort but that's about it, still recommending!“

“My partner and I tried the 2 for $25 deal and had a really nice experience overall. We ordered two burgers and two salads, and everything tasted great. The burgers were delicious and cooked just right, the fries were nicely fried and crispy, and the salads were fresh and refreshing, which balanced the meal well.

This Applebee’s location has been my go-to place since 1997, and that long history means a lot to me. In the past, the portions were a bit more generous, and lately they’ve definitely gotten smaller. That said, it’s understandable with inflation and everything else going on everywhere, so I won’t hold it against Applebee’s.

Overall, it’s still a dependable spot with good food, fair value, and a familiar, comfortable vibe. If you want better food, don’t go to fast food, go to Applebee's.“

Dinner was their bourbon flatbread. It was good but not great. I deducted a star based on a pretty limited menu. That said, my flatbread was a flatbread instead of a rectangular pizza and I appreciated that.

My drink is pictured. I only had one because the one the bartender (incredible depth of knowledge!) recommended after our discussion about what I like, what I have on my bar at home, etc. concluded. Absolutely loved it. Peaty but a different style of peaty. That's a bottle I'm going to have to find at a store.
