“It's Taco Tuesday and I was craving Mexican food, but I didn't just wanna go to the type of place you think of when "Mexican" is brought up... I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... 🍹: Xochitl In Love 🍸: La Clandestina 🐟: Tuna Tostada 🌮: Chicken Tinga Tostada 🦪: Seared Scallops 🫓: Tlayuda 🥃: Colita Old Fashioned 🥩: Lamb Barbacoa Tacos 🫔: Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!“

“I would like to recognize Tyrus at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Mall of America location in Bloomington, Minnesota for going far above and beyond in helping my husband and me. We had parked in the airport parking lot and were struggling to get to the airport terminal with multiple bags. My husband is a disabled veteran with medical challenges, and the walk would have taken us quite a long time. Tyrus was actually on his lunch break when he noticed us struggling. Without hesitation, he came over and began helping us by pushing our suitcases closer to the terminal. Seeing that we were still having difficulty, he went even further and brought a vehicle to help us get there faster. Because of my husband’s chronic pain, getting into the vehicle was difficult, so Tyrus kindly drove me to the terminal, unloaded my luggage, and walked me inside to the check-in area. My husband decided to walk, and the next thing I knew Tyrus was pushing him along with his walker so we could make it to the terminal. Thanks to Tyrus’ kindness and willingness to help, we made our flights on time. The most amazing part is that we were not even Enterprise customers. We were simply two senior citizens trying to make it to our flight, and he chose to help us anyway. He refused any compensation and simply wanted to do the right thing. His kindness, compassion, and professionalism truly represent the very best in customer service. Please recognize him for his outstanding character and service. “Yesterday my family celebrated my retirement with a family lunch at my favorite restaurant - Red Robin in Apple Valley. Most of the group had never been to a Red Robin but they are now big fans just like me. “My daughter and son-in-law brought me 3 different treats for my birthday celebration. All 3 are amazing. I ate the cupcake right away and it was moist and beautifully dense like pound cake, I’m having the donut right now a day later and it tastes fresh and flavorful. “Kinda silly but they have my favorite house salad in the city. It’s a large enough portion to be a meal on its own, they use really good greens (no shitty iceberg!), and their ranch is the best. Only downside is they don’t give you quite enough ranch and even when I order extra (and probably pay extra) they don’t always put an extra cup of it in.“

“The sushi has been better in the past. Seemed hastily rolled as many fell apart. The server was great, no complaints there. We did mention when making the reservation in open table that we were celebrating a birthday. It was never brought up. Everything tasted great and refillable drinks were brought without asking. Love that.“

“Coolest atmosphere. Consistently delicious food (delivery, takeout or in-house!). Excellent staff. We've mostly been enjoying our Lucé at home the past few years, but had a teen visiting and wanted to give them the full Lucé experience. I made a reservation requesting a booth because of hearing loss and sensory sensitivities in our family. We were given a booth back in the corner and we haven't had an evening out that was so pleasant as a family in years! Staff was excellent - for us and the family at the next table with a high-energy toddler who had a spill that was cleaned by cheerful staff who assured the family it was no problem. We used to be that family, so I appreciated this! Everything was clean and the restaurant looks to be in great condition. The artichoke dip was the best ever (I swear we marvel this every time we have it). We tried two new pizza types - the Classic and Wild Mushroom - both were excellent, though Athena and The Lucé will still be our go-to choices. The greek salad was high quality and very fresh. The slice of cheese pizza we took home to our youngest was good (as always - it's the picky little dude's favorite pizza!) Another word on staff - We appreciated our host and server's clear communication; I'm unsure if they did this because of awareness of our noted hearing issue, but thanks to that and the booth placement, I don't think any of us had to ask for repeats. Thank you Luce for honoring the booth request and being consistent with excellent food and service - it made a world of difference for our whole family! ("Tubular" as our visiting teen said)“

“North Star Tavern absolutely crushed it for our group! We had our reservation double at the very last minute and they not only accommodated us, but were able to get us in earlier too. The host who helped coordinate everything was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. I really wish I had gotten his name because he made the whole experience so easy. And Riley, our server, despite being a Packer fan 😉, was fantastic. She handled our large group like a pro and gave us excellent service the entire time with a smile on her face. Also…that Brussel sprout salad is an absolute banger. 10/10 all around!“

“Awesome breakfast place! I love walking here and grabbing coffee, quiche, or my fav is the huevos rancheros. I dream about it! (I recommend adding chorizo) It’s such a community/neighborhood feel to it and it will be one of the most missed places if I were ever to move away. Such an awesome open space! Yes parking can be tough but who cares it’s the cities.“

“Met a friend there for breakfast. We both had ham and cheese omelets. Fluffy but some of the ham cubes were cold. Omelets would have been much better with some herbs...garlic, dill, etc... The potatoes were fantastic. The chunk of bread was dull by comparison. My friend ordered OJ and that was not brought to our table. Had I not noticed that, he would have paid for something not served.“

“We have been to TC Grill numerous times since they opened at the MOA. We have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. We were happy to see new items on the menu as well as some old favorites. Its conveniently located on the first floor between Nordstrom and Macy's.“
